Ah great video Andy, just like an episode of Car SOS. You have the look of a man in your element, I'm looking forward to part 2. Richard is a real nice young lad and it's nice to see him part of a restoration project. Pity the weather let you down but it was a really enjoyable video, well done!
Hi Kevin - thank you - part two to follow tomorrow - Richard was the seller for his grand parents - it was enjoyable and hopefully I will get to do another this year if possible. Yes great fun and done with Andy my friend who has had many of these jobs to do - thanks for watching and hope Part Two is just as enjoyable!
That van is 12months older than me, it looks in great condition considering it’s been outside all these years, I would think the chassis are probably as rotten as a carrot .some nice memories from Richard.
Hi Trucker - chassis looking ok to be honest sheltered by the house and that large hedge so dry as a bone underneath with just s little sag but all can be fixed ! Think its in better condition than me too!!
Thanks for purchasing hope you enjoy it a great story of a brand that still is well known today. Ah I had a 1995 Sprite ,Musketeer CD bought new so like yours one of the last Newmarket built models before going to hull to be produced ! Thank you for comments Andrew
lovely to see. do the chassis cope with the test of time or do they need welding ?. summat like this model was in carry on camping film (1969). C I caravans was in the films credits.
Chassis was surprisingly okay as was suspension to and brakes looked so so - in the newer versions of the Musketeer they used extra chassis strength but overall for 65 years of age it has survived well - thanks for comments as always

I’ve just bought that Sprite book off eBay. I own a 1995 Sprite Europa 450EB so the book will be an interesting read. Nice caravan rescue 😊
