In 2016 I was in a crisis. I had been treated like shit at 2 internships, the second left me burned out. I had so much anxiety. I quit my study and was unable to work for a bit and didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. It's nice to watch this channel that gave me some joy during those times. I now will both get my degree in archaeology and am starting my first 'real' job in a few weeks! In fact, today I am signing my contract. This channel gave me so much comfort back then, so thank you for that!

That color naming segment was *gold* - loved the creativity, 'poolside cerulean' is my favorite. I think Bruise is a great name for that color, my alternative name for it would be 'Beavo's Chestnuts'.

I had the og version in 2015! it was the height of my doctor who obsession so all the colors I made were references like "tardis blue" and "rose red" etc.
When I look at my cheap Chinese marker set, I think they were named by some colorblind guy too. For example, it has french green, but it is orange 🙈 it even more orange, then marker that named orange
I don't know how easy it would be to find this in the UK, but there's also the Kuretake Ink-Café Mixing Kit which could be fun to compare this to! It's aimed at an older crowd than Crayola but it's similar enough. The set comes with 2 empty Karappo felt tip pens and wicks as the feed system but additional empty pens are available and there are also Karappo brush/bristle tip pens and a variant of the felt tip which use empty cartridges instead of wicks. I dream of at least getting the brush tip some time and trying it out because in theory any fountain pen safe ink can be used with them. I'm pretty certain the inks in the set are relatively standard although they might be pigments instead of dyes; I forget! I just looked and the 5 Color Set comes with a gray and a transparent ink so you can dilute those for pastels and less saturated hues as well. lol you might even be able to use the Crayola inks in one of the Karappos or vice versa if you got extras for that purpose.

wow how funny, that in the 🤔 Western world Crayola is said to be "terrible", while here it was (or maybe still is, I don't know) somewhat luxury product 😂 I'm quite old now, 40, so when I was 6-10 we still had communism and early years of regular capitalism here and we didn't have much of those beauties. I remember pretty well Crayola set my aunt sent me from USA - it was huuuuuge, opened a bit like a suitcase and was full of crayons. I'm not a huge fan of crayons, I can't use them pretty well without creating a 1cm thick layer, but the sheer amount of different shades, colours, and gorgeous names 😍 I guess this is why I still think of Crayola as a luxury 😂 Human memory/experience is such an interesting thing and yes, Adam, I totally agree - those are all great names! Midnight runner is just awesome. Reminds me of a great game - Shadowrun series

I know you can’t do the original leaving the house doodle dates now, but some of those were so iconic. Would you be able to do some kind of mashup of some particularly memorable ones (castle!) with the aid of the original footage and the green screen? I seem to remember not much of the castle was drawn last time anyway 😉…..so perhaps a redo is not a waste of time. If that idea worked, could you green screen your selves into other venues you’d like to go to and do appropriate artwork? Sounds like an excuse for some on theme snacks anyway.

wow how funny, that in the 🤔 Western world Crayola is said to be "terrible", while here it was (or maybe still is, I don't know) somewhat luxury product 😂 I'm quite old now, 40, so when I was 6-10 we still had communism and early years of regular capitalism here and we didn't have much of those beauties. I remember pretty well Crayola set my aunt sent me from USA - it was huuuuuge, opened a bit like a suitcase and was full of crayons. I'm not a huge fan of crayons, I can't use them pretty well without creating a 1cm thick layer, but the sheer amount of different shades, colours, and gorgeous names 😍 I guess this is why I still think of Crayola as a luxury 😂 Human memory/experience is such an interesting thing
and yes, Adam, I totally agree - those are all great names! Midnight runner is just awesome. Reminds me of a great game - Shadowrun series

Anyone with pale to lighter skin tones can say that bruise colour is spot on.
First of all, Bruise is incredibly accurate to that specific red color
Second, my favorite of the names is "Moss on Grandad's shed" because orange moss sounds super cursed XD

I know you can’t do the original leaving the house doodle dates now, but some of those were so iconic. Would you be able to do some kind of mashup of some particularly memorable ones (castle!) with the aid of the original footage and the green screen? I seem to remember not much of the castle was drawn last time anyway 😉…..so perhaps a redo is not a waste of time.
If that idea worked, could you green screen your selves into other venues you’d like to go to and do appropriate artwork? Sounds like an excuse for some on theme snacks anyway.
