I am not discounting any 'conspiracy theories' at this point, given how monumental of a failure this whole thing was. But, it's quite possible that he had other plans for those bombs, as if he expected to get away. It's really hard to tell. It a sad time. I grew up trusting deeply in our FBI, CIA, NSA, our courts and other law enforcement agencies. I remember singing the national anthem and knowing in my heart that my country was great and that I was a staunch patriot.
I am troubled. Most people, and rightly so, no longer have trust in the entities I mentioned. Many people openly express hatred for our country. We are profoundly divided along party lines as families, neighbors, coworkers, and as a nation. We are reverting to tribalism in the worst sense of the concept.
We have to fix EVERYTHING!
What is the purpose of Republicans feeding your distrust of our institutions and law enforcement? Do you think they're trying to discredit them before GOP corruption is exposed? Are Republicans counting on the cultlike following of Trump to believe his lies without independent thought?
I understand growing up trusting FBI, but while the media may have glorified NSA and CIA, they never really came off as saints to me, just exciting. All these agencies have gotten a bit too good at obfuscating the truth. Never really cared for other people telling me "what I need to know".
