It even highlights how United/Continental’s globe is focused on the Northern Hemisphere, whereas Copa’s globe is focused on the Southern Hemisphere. After all these years I notice this, thanks to this shot!
Hey Alex, you captured that 727 really well. Seeing the heat waves from the jet engines as the jet is shooting down the runway is pretty neat. Amazing video as always. Thanks.
Copa is a 737-only-operator with a fleet of 100 of them, both NG´s an MAX - and Tocumen is a very Copa-dominated Airport. So, yeah, if you want to planespot 737s Tocumen is your place!😃
That’s very cool that you got taxiway access to film. You are very lucky! Incredible spotting Alex. Edit: That first 727-200 has a cool history. In order from first to now is Eastern Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, Emery Worldwide, Capital Cargo International (Florida), then UniWorld. Not a crazy history but flew with some great and iconic airlines.
Thank you very much for this very special Planespotting!😃👍🧡 - Tocumen is of course very - very - Copa dominated - but the Highlight was really the 727-200F of Uniworld Air Cargo: An Aircraft manufactured in 1981 (!), first delivered to Eastern Air Lines, 1992 to Northwest Airlines, converted into a Freighter and delivered to Emery Worldwide in 1999, than to Capital Cargo International in 2004 and since 2023 it is now operating for Uniworld. I´m wondering where they get the Flight Engineer for a 727 in our times. I really appreciate such special views on such seldom Birds - and others probably, too!❤
Excellent video one of the best spotter vids I have seen, Also can I just how cool it is for the airport to not just organize a spotters day but to let you all stand on the TAXIWAY right by the runway! The 727 and 777 was my fav! That first 727, damn that thing just hauled. Maybe its the camera angle that made the takeoff look so steep. It was also not smoking as much as they usually do. There was actually a plan at one time re-engine them as a twin.
PTY is tricky because 03R/21L only has far-away spots. Spot #4 here was where I got the 727 at the start though: www.spotterguide.net/planespotting/central-america/panama/panama-city-tocumen-pty-mpto/
Wow that was a large number of 737's the Turkish airlines 777-300 was a treat. I know you meant to do your best and definitely better than what I could do. Wasn't my best video I've seen you do. Sorry for the negativity. The videography was outstanding though. Just to many COPA airlines 737.
Plane spot is the best video Alex can make, but i have an idea why not plane spot plane that you flew on? Should be interesting nice vid like always 👍❤️
If you want to buy a trijet or a quad in 2024, and burn your money with the fuel bills, be my guest. You won't last very long in the current economic conditions.
@@nerd2814 trijets are meanwhile nearly gone from the market, but interestingly there´re still a astonishingly number of quads with us, at least on the longhaule - look e.g. at Lufthansa or Emirates and a couple of Cargo Airlines like Atlas or Cargolux.
The shot of the United Aircraft taxiing beyond the Copa Planes at 5:32 was a nice touch! Great spotting.

Alex, ur videos inspire me to go plane spotting every time! Thanks for all the good Work you have done.

It's so nice to see 727s still operating in 2024
In a massive line up of 737s, the best was saved for last. Thanks Alex!

Indeed - and it is now a 43 year old Aircraft and one of the very few 727 who´re still in active service.
Amazing video! Great job Alex!
You have a wonderful eye for photography. I enjoy all of your spotting videos.
Love Copa airlines! and I'm glad to see the Breast Cancer Livery on the Max 9 one on the best Special Livery's!
a LOT of 737s!
copa only has 737 in their fleet
@@teremoto9893they used to have e190s but now sadly they retired it
One of the best Tocumen MPTO, plane spotting. Wait for more of this content.

Me: watches first clip of 727
Also me: wait is this clip from the 90s or now? haha
Fantastic compilation Alex!
Fantastic PTY production! Those 727 freighters reminds me of the Cargojet days 🇨🇦.. Great job as always Alex! ✈️
¿No llegan 747 a Panama? Ah y just esperaba ver a los turcos!!
Brilliant video!
Alex this is phenomenal planespotting! How were you allowed on the airport apron it seems like to film?
Love your videos
Awesome vid as always congrats on 100k
Great video as always!!!!
Very nice video!
Awesome Video
Hey man, I loved this, and btw, copa is my hometown airline
Looking great Alex! I’m heading there soon for a vacation, do you have any specific spots in and around the airport that you recommend?
PTY is tricky because 03R/21L only has far-away spots. Spot #4 here was where I got the 727 at the start though: www.spotterguide.net/planespotting/central-america/panama/panama-city-tocumen-pty-mpto/
very interesting catches over there
The 727 at the start was magic...enough said well done on the capture.
I flew on copa from Panama City to Bogota, Colombia!!
Hello Panama, New Sub from Indonesia
where is these amazing spotting spot at MPTO??? I wanna go!! I MUST GO!
The Mighty 727! What a beast! Love that bird.
Great video👍✈️✈️
Oh my God! I've been waiting for this video for years!!
You're the very first to make this specific video!
Thanks Alex you've just made a dream of mine come true... 😅 plane spotting at
Hub de las Americas©️ 🙌
Aerosucre 727’s definitely do not climb like that! 😂
You should add flight times!
Buen video, nuevo suscriptor👍🏻👍🏻
Cool spotting! Like that!
I hope he does a video about punta Cana cuz that’s where I’m going in about a week
Some pretty hard landings!
Great video 😎
Unfortunately you missed the European arrivals (KLM, Iberia, Air France, Air Europa etc)
Yes, they start arriving in the late afternoon block
Did NOT know the runway can support a wide body 777...
A -300ER at that.
That was the biggest surprise.
Do you know where I can find more info about Tocumen Open Day? I'd like to go to the next one!

How did you get access to the airport????????
Think it's Cartel 😂😂😂😂😂

Turkish airlines 777 looks gorgeous
Is it me or did that 727 take off at a very steep angle?
I was wondering the same thing. And the 727 is known for being a "slow starter" but that one was a rocket. Obviously lightly loaded, but still...
Hey Alex! When was this taken? I was flying into PTY on that day
You should try TAG AIRLINES, (National carrier of Guatemala), because, they have some interesting planes.
Cómo hizo para grabar? Que suerte
Wow
at least for the final of the video a great triple 7!
Very Nice vid. Will you be at OSH24?
Jesus, that is a fuck ton of 737s.
Copa is a 737-only-Operator, they´ve 100 of them in their fleet, both NG´s and MAX - and Tocumen is a very Copa-dominated Airport.

Wish you could've caught Cayman airways 😞
So much 737
