Thank you for this great video. I love Picasso. My favorite Picasso painting is Fishing in Antibes, which I saw live at the New York Museum of Modern Art. Cezanne! Yes! Time for a revival of interest in him! He was SUCH a pivotal artist and thinker! Equivalent to W. A. Mozart, Carl Jung, Thomas Edison, Frank Lloyd Wright, etc. ... name your favorite genius .... Cezanne is among them! 👍😀
10 More Things You Didn't Know About Picasso... 1. He worked at an Arby's but preferred to eat at McDonald's 2. He invented both Al Gore, the internet and Bitcoin but not in that order, hoping to one day be able to use all three to buy paints and a computer to paint "Etherium" which he painted as the sequel to "Airplane! II: The Sequel" 3. Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles would often use him to play both their cameos and potted plants, he would go on hunger fasts to reach potted plant stature 4. Never was called "Picky" for short but would often answer to "Dixie" or "Fido". 5. Not really from Spain but from the Spanish section of the South Bronx where he liked to hang out at Bamburgers where all the tough Bohemian artists used to hang out in their penny loafers 6. Often used to hang out at Monk's and dream of making a tv show about nothing, but was not sure Jim Cramer was right for the part of the neighbor, changed the name to "Reverend Jim" and then "Monica", but NBC wasn't interested 7. "Guernica" was the original pilot for both the "The Brady Bunch" and "The A-team" but it was never picked up for prime time because the networks already had two war sitcoms, one was called "M*A*S*H," and the other, "The Jeffersons" 8. Never made sculptures in lemon jello but would often borrow Matisse's scissors to cut up his chocolate pudding into a Cha-Cha-Cha-Chia pets. 9. Would often run behind Rocky Balboa in Philadelphia chanting in French, "my baguette fights better than you!", to which Balboa would reply, "at least I don't run like I'm wearing high heels and by the way, Matisse wants his scissors back so he can collage you a wig like Mr. T's". Mr. T would often run behind Picasso and say "I pity the fool who eats my chocolate pudding..." behind him Al Gore would run and hop barefoot on one foot to leave a low carbon footprint and behind him Sally Struthers would run and shout "Save the Whales! Save the Whales!" ...to which Carvel's Fudgey the Whale, in high heels, would run and shout behind her, "Save Sally Struthers! Save Sally Struthers!... but don't let her eat me!" -- all running is in reverse evolutionary order with Fudgey being at the top of the evolutionary tree -- "Damn Dirty Fudgey Whales!" 10. Used to jam with Jim Morrison and The Doors on "L.A. Woman" but his solos sounded more like a cross between the themes of "The Rockford Files" and "Murphy Brown".
I see the pai ting styles of Picasso & MF Hussain are quite similar & easy to draw from skill point of view by any student. So - it inspires young artists to copy / do some experiments with thick black lines & color. It is quick & easy. But the essence of it has not come easily. It is lot of Experience & experimentation - par excellence. At the end, these painting inspire every one to start with a line & experiment & experience & explore themselves. Artists need not sell for big money. They can make for their self expression. At the end- Art is not business after? the way it is made to be in most cases - more so with Picasso. At some point - European values have to die for the sake of Art.
Have I seen a Picasso in real life? Funny story, that. While doing a unit on Guernica, I had an enthusiastic student state that his brother had a Picasso, and did I want to see it? He brought in a framed print, I thought it was neat, he left it and it sat in the back of my room for a few weeks while wet paintings dried next to it. When his brother found out, he was livid. Turns out that what I thought was a poster was a real print made by Picasso. It was worth $15,000 - $17,000.
Some amazing shots of his work, and a great pic of him and his dachshund, Lumpito. Saw an amazing exhibition of his paintings of men at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas seven years ago, and love his still life paintings. (Interesting about the striped shirts!)
Thank you for consolidating & showing picasso paintings in one video - as much as you could do. Cezanne paintings & Picasso residence cum burial place is an interesting part of an Amazing real story.

Very interesting, but a few errors...Paloma is his younger daughter, not his 'eldest.' When she talks about WW II, the sign says WW I. His death bed quote is questionable. His most famous line was when the Nazi held up a copy of Geurnica to him as said, "Did you do this?" His reply, "No, You did." Fascinating and well done movie about Picasso on the NG channel, under their Genius series, and now on Hulu and/or Amazon Prime. Antonio Banderas plays the older Picasso, and said it was a role of a lifetime for him.
I fortunately have. In San Francisco at momo. Cat catching bird. I actually bought a print because I couldn't leave without that painting. It is in the hallway of our home. Love it.
Picasso was a communist and a very abusive man with women. He stated once that there were two types of women. Goddesses and doormats. The family battle for his estate was because he never wrote a last will on purpose, just for selfish meanings and to enjoy the mess after his death. His art wasn't nothing relevant or noticeable until Gestrudis Stein, a Jewess merchant make him famous on the double goal to create something that breaks with the "bourgeois" art, following the steps and commands of the international Jewish-Communist agenda and also make money inflating the value of an art that is worthless, this way the Jewish buyers could afford a new art that would increase in value as the time runs and be speculatively re-sold over and over again. Then no need to buy Rembrants, Velazquez etc.He was a very talented painted, who sold his soul for money and fame and did very well what he was required to do. It is evident to anyone that his art is degenerated on purpose to make you believe you are ignorant or out of fashion if you can not perceive the "beauty" or geniality in this type of deformed art. Ask any child (who obviously doesn't have any prejudgement), what painting he/she would like best: Las Meninas of Velazquez or The mademoiselles de Avignon of Picasso. Don't make any mistake, beauty no needs to be taught or induced or learned.
I felt really hydrated with knowledge and insight after watching this video then i scrolled down and saw some of these toxic comments... People are really tense.
"Where are you, Jacqueline?" He turned to Dr. Bernal. "You are wrong not to be married. It's useful." They were his last coherent words. He did not say "Drink to me" he was not entertaining guests, he was in bed fighting for every breath.

When she was describing the Nazis rules and regulations, it sounded eerily similar to modern day China, but I would say China is even more deplorable in certain aspects.
"Boy with a Pipe". I knew most of these facts. In 06 Le Reve was priceless because that Vegas hotel owner put his elbow through it. However a private sale put it back on the map.
Picasso would pay for things with checks and would end up getting free stuff because his signature on the check at the time and even more now would be worth more than what the check is written for.
“The mid wife thought he was still born”.... “the mid wife actually thought he had not survived”.....”after a difficult birth the midwife believed he had not survived”
Great video about Picasso. I love the voice. The French names of the paintings were not pronounced correctly though. For example “ Femmes D’Alger” should be pronounced “ Faame” just like the sound of a sheep “ baah” don’t worry about pronouncing the “s” at the end. It is silent.
Picasso did not hate women. Let us clarify he hated goldiggers, most women were attracted to him for his work and money. That is why he did not leave a will. That is wise if you ask me. Again Picasso loved women but not goldiggers! I do not like goldiggers myself does that make me a mysogynist?
Other things you didn't know about Picasso -- he did mescaline, smoked opium, and was an alcoholic who had cases of absinthe shipped to him in France because it was illegal in that country.
In Reality to me Pacasso is not Dead He has a very Deep Painting I call Meditation it's Cubist Abstract He's one of my best friends I stared at his Meditation Peace I feel real Deep into that Painting for months staring at it wondering about how Deep it is I said staring at it for months and learned the secret of Transformation of his style I went Deep into my Art work and Created serious advanced Art that opens up and Talks I have to Animate it I like his screaming women I can identify I have met many of them I created another style secrets are Hidden in my Art about a Fantasy separated sex love affair abstact done with fingers alot Dont see intelligent Art they only see a Picture and no not what it Really is no money no work but I won't stop it not long it's just a simple Video Camra that's been Hard to Get to work I have 4 of them that stops Buisness lack of Equipment for Advanced Artist and then U Stay Broke for Not Helping Artist that Are way Ahead of there time poor people want Art Hummmm
There is no positive relation whatsoever between making a lot of money and becoming an artist.
There seems something very wrong with a site driven by money, to be showing Great Art which is inspired by beauty

You don’t like Jews ,you don’t like modern art,and you don’t know what children like.So why do you write about it?
Why is everyone hating on the channel guys you don’t have to be rude
He actually sighned his first works Ruiz-Picasso...wasnt till falling out with his father and moving to france, that he started using just Picasso
At least two typos in this video. Big money class, guys.
An lot of great masterpieces that Picasso made in his entire life time, god bless him.
Well, it would be kinda weird if he made them after death, right?
God bless him? For viewing women as some toy or more specifically, machines? Nah

How can someone hate on Picasso's paintings? Those are brilliant pieces of art!
what kind of brilliancy ? a painting must be appealing ....and his paintings are pieces of shit

"Where are you, Jacqueline?" He turned to Dr. Bernal. "You are wrong not to be married. It's useful." They were his last coherent words. He did not say "Drink to me" he was not entertaining guests, he was in bed fighting for every breath.

"10 things you didn't know about Ratan Tata ( owner of Tata ) an Indian entrepreneur " a video on this would be interesting.
It's already on the list :)
It should be WW2 not WW1.
Yeah, that's what I thought too!
She said World War 2, but the caption says WWI.
When she was describing the Nazis rules and regulations, it sounded eerily similar to modern day China, but I would say China is even more deplorable in certain aspects.
His full name is 23 letters long, I'm glad that he was only named Pablo Picasso!!!

"Boy with a Pipe". I knew most of these facts. In 06 Le Reve was priceless because that Vegas hotel owner put his elbow through it. However a private sale put it back on the map.
Thx
great artist thanks for sharing
Picasso would pay for things with checks and would end up getting free stuff because his signature on the check at the time and even more now would be worth more than what the check is written for.
Es muy bueno este video.Tendria que tener subtitulado s en Español.Gracias.
He didn't co-invent anything; rather; he co-opted. He has no significant poetry. In fact; he struggled with letters.
He left thousands of art pieces
Fake giggles of the voice-over...., Shameful and Unprofessional.
She sucks
PICASSO seems to be great artist
Picasso did not hate women. Let us clarify he hated goldiggers, most women were attracted to him for his work and money. That is why he did not leave a will. That is wise if you ask me. Again Picasso loved women but not goldiggers! I do not like goldiggers myself does that make me a mysogynist?
i'm pretty sure picasso was just trolling everyone
Slit Wrist damn right xD his paintings actually dont have meaning xD
Slit Wrist-I’m pretty sure you haven’t learned enough from him then
Bisaya Lyrics-you to
Alux is the please where future billionaires come to get an idea!
Other things you didn't know about Picasso -- he did mescaline, smoked opium, and was an alcoholic who had cases of absinthe shipped to him in France because it was illegal in that country.
Maya is his eldest daughter, not Paloma.

Picasso was prolific in more ways than one.

Any kids in the streets in China can BUY his paintings as their wall papers.
Point number 14 reads WWI and not WWII as stated.
