Y'all, my recipe repairs just didn't work quite right-I ended up not being able to cut into it, so be sure to follow the recipe precisely! Did y'all think I was going to be able to turn it around? I sure did!
I'm thinking Paula didn't cut that pie because it never set-up and congealed properly without the right gelatin!
A friend gave this recipe to me years ago. It was made with the creamy chiffon raspberry layer on top of a vanilla wafer crust. The whipped cream layer was a mix of powder sugar, vanilla + whip cream. Chilled for a few hours in the fridge.
Can also do a dessert with chocolate Pudding layer, whipped cream layer & a eclair crust.
PLEASE Note for future: 1 small box of jello has same amount of gelatin as 1 pkt unflavored... plus flavoring and sugar. 😂

Yes it is. I had that surgery 11 years ago. Painful surgery...PT is difficult... but so worth it in the end

The way Paula was pointing and saying “Theresa’s husband”-without finishing the phrase-I thought that girl, Casey, was Theresa’s “husband.” 😂 0:43 Sounds like Mr Eddie had a “guilty conscience” after accidentally throwing away the gelatin. He made the smart ass (so-called self-deprecating) comment “I’m not that efficient, I’m not…” 😂 3:26

I'm with you about the frozen whipped topping. I always use whipped cream that I make myself.

This pie is like a jello parfait. I love that! You definitely need the gelatin instead of the jello, though, unless you add less sugar.

She had plain jello and someone threw it out as it was setting...thats the only reason she used strawberry..
Well…she had already added the sugar at that point. She’s salvaging the recipe.
@@rebeccalane7982 true, I always like to start off light with less white sugar on fruit in recipes, but that’s just my preference but I know this was unplanned, accidental, I remember back in the 80’s they sold a strawberry gel filling that u add your own berries to for pie but I bet the red dye was prob the reason I haven’t seen it in grocery stores
