This house is actually in my hometown and I visited one of the open houses, the master bedroom is on the 2nd floor and the second bedroom is in the basement.

Kayak, you should have read the house info more carefully. The second bedroom is in the basement! So the whole width upstairs is the bedroom, as there is no hallway.

I’m from Deerfield and we call this house the “Pie” house. It’s deceptively big and you did a pretty good job from the outside (I’ve never been in) but it’s longer than your build and the backyard has a shed, bins, and it’s pretty small.
I mean... You've done a lot of... *different* kind of builds... Why not take it one step further? Make your own face into a sims house.

They had a finished basement. So the top floor it's just a bedroom and a bathroom. That's how they got it all to fit. Pretty sure it needed to be longer too.
Not really a challenge, but a build suggestion: Maybe building a British/English home. Most builds are what some of us would call "massive" suburban style homes with pools and huge patios. It would be fun to try see Simsie build a different style of home she's probably not that familiar with. And maybe she could ask Plumbella or her boyfriend for tips, seeing as they both live in England. 😂
EDIT: Just an add, if I see more than one bathroom in a house like this I'll loose it (jokingly) like no en suite, just one little bathroom. For example, in my house and my cousins house, the toilet is in its own little room and the bath (no shower) and sink are separate.

I’ve literally lived a block from to this house my whole life and let me tell you: I toured it when I was like 12 and it was hella normal on the inside. Like you couldn’t even tell it’s weird from the inside at all. Skinny legend ✨✌🏻

i looked up this house and turns out its three stories! one bedroom for each floor. that's how they were able to fit two bathrooms and bedrooms on "one" floor lol. But i can't tell if the other bedroom is actually the basement or the third story, but either way, interesting house!

All the leather furniture in the downstairs makes sense if they have multiple shedding dogs. They are more hard-wearing, less likely to tear or scratch from little/big claws jumping on and off, easy to clean and don't hold onto the hair ready to attach to your best outfit.
We gave up on material couches a few years back because we got fed up with having to hoover them every six seconds just so we could sit, then get up and not look like an unshorn sheep.
Do a build challenge where all the rooms are the item menu rooms. For example: you can choose what kind of cabinets you want, but they have to be placed like they are in the menus.
Vixella already made a video about that, if you want to see someone do that then watch her’s :)

This makes me feel like we need twin, full, Queen, and king sized beds in the sims. Like how you can have different sized and shaped cabinets. They should do the same thing for couches so you can make wrap around couches and what not. Or like how counters work and connect to each other.

I know this is old, but there is a plan of the house on the Zillow page now! There’s actually a basement, which is how the bedrooms are so big, one in the basement and one on the second floor.

I have a little information that will help explain why the upstairs floor plan was so difficult to fit:
The master bedroom and en suite master bathroom take up the entire top floor, while the second bedroom and bathroom are in the finished basement.

Why are contemporary houses always so...depressing? It’s all just whites and beiges. It’s so sad to look at.
I recently moved to Grand Rapids, MI from places where the houses *are* all depressing and boring, and I've just gotta say: the architects must dream of coming out here because every single building is sooooo cool. My boyfriend can attest to me saying "the buildings here are too cool" several times any time we drive around. There's a house down the street from me (although I believe it's been converted into a dentist office) that looks like a CASTLE. In the middle of a neighbourhood. It's awesome.
When I was a kid somebody painted one of those wartime homes bright purple and everybody made fun of it. In retrospect, they were all just cowards

I’ve got an idea for a challenge that is more challenging than the skinny house one:
Make a house that is 2 units wide, and as long as you want. The only exeption is the bathroom which you can extend from the back but has to be 1 unit wide. The house has to be functional and have everything you need including a skill building items. You can add a second floor. You are not allowed to put any of the furniture or items that would go in a house normally outside. It can have more than one floor.
You can make the bathroom not an extension of the house, it would be a fun way to add to the challenge.
So, this is just basically a regular house you'd get with the Sims, but they went the other way. Instead of too much space, they didn't have nearly enough.

That was actually a very fun build! Enjoyed it a lot. It actually turned out pretty good. Really liked how the upstairs bathroom turned out esp. considering the angled walls. Great job! wouldn’t mind seeing “house boat” type of place surrounded by a sims pool of course since we can’t have boats.
Plot twist the “dog statues” where actually real dogs💀

Suggestion for you and other sim youtuber collaborate, one room at a time, but none of you communicate how you make the rooms..in the end, stitch them together like puzzles
This was super cool to see. Made me google it. Turns out it has a basement! (Being midwestern, that makes perfect sense.) that’s where the second bedroom and third bathroom would be. I’m assuming the second floor is a ginormous master suite.

This house is in my town!! I used to pass by it all the time on my way to high school. We call it The Pie House for obvious reasons.
Turns out, it's actually 3 levels, bedrooms are on 2 separate levels. one in the basement, and one on the top floor. That's the reason the bedrooms weren't working quite right😃

I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to transferring real houses on sims. Like the whole video kayak was like "it wont fit" and I've just been going "pls move to a bigger lot. Pls. Kayak pls. Kayak it's not gonna fit. KaYLA PLEASE!" Throughout the whole video.
Next update in sims 4 we need to be able to place walls on half tiles

Also I think size-wise it could perhaps work better if it was a couple tiles wider? Then you could add mb 1-2 tiles to the shorter walls and fit it all. 🙏
