I don't know if it was just me, but.... I couldn't help but think, the pentatonic without the added notes sounded way better in your first loop example.... lol. I'm feeling like it's because you used it too much in the example instead of just in passing. I do agree when using it over its chord, changes the game completely. I think it all comes back to style, use them when you want to "jazz" it up. (See what I did there!)
