It's funny that special connection you have with your turntable... I feel exactly the same. Although Spotify brings me that endless source of inspirations.. The vinyl brings back to more than music... Time and places you purchased it, shop owners who you get relation too, vinyl covers, etc. In this digital era, the analog support makes it somehow back to something human and timeless. One question Malo. What cartridge to you use on your turntable? Many thanks for your refreshing and positive way of delivering your work to us. Peace

The one that I have right now has been great to me, but it’s on its last legs. I’ve had it for over four years already.
Curious, is there any reason you'd wanna go for the mpc live II over the mpc keys 37? Same functionality, but a keyboard built in seems like a no-brainer to me. Plus, it's cheaper.
@@monkihousemusik great question, there’s a few more perks you do get when purchasing the live2 you do get portability, onboard speaker, extra outputs, and the ability to install an internal SSD drive to the unit. Although mentioning these extra features to some people, they’re not really a need in their workflow so if that’s not something that you see yourself using I would definitely go with the MPC key 37 🔥
I recently purchased the SP-404 MK2 and I'm trying to connect it to my Akai Live 2, specifically for effects. I’ve watched plenty of videos to resolve this issue, but they all reference version 2.14 or earlier, while I’m currently using the beta version. I believe everything is connected properly, but I’m still not getting any sound when I switch to the 3/4 I/O on the Live 2. The EXT SOURCE button on the SP-404 blinks red, which to me indicates that it’s receiving a signal from the MPC but still no audio. What am I doing wrong? Also thank you for everything. I’m not sure I would be where I am now without your videos.
@@Melodic623 i’m so glad you took the time to mention this. When it comes down to sound quality, the analog heat will pack a heavier punch to the sound quality it pushes out. The only reason I have not used the analog heat anymore is because I ended up sticking with the SP404 due to the onboard effects that it gives you so I ended up choosing the convenience of those effects over the quality of the analog heat. But when it comes down to sound quality alone, the analog heat is a lot better.
@ my man... thanks for responding. i love the sp404 too. still learning things on it. hopefully in the future you'll do some videos specifically for the 404. i can definitely benefit from some tutorial videos. 🙏
Man!! it’s crazy. You just mentioned this since the MPCX was never on my radar before but ever upgrading to the MPC 3.0 software I’ve been considering on picking up an MPCX. I could see the value specially having those extra outputs and that screen Real Estate navigating through some of these new futures and MPC 3.0. if you have the extra cash to spare, I think the MPCX would be the way to go.
don't ever think your studio monitors are to over kill for the size of the room i made this mistake years ago by switching out hs80m for hs7s big mistake smaller monitors have less detail than full range monitors I have Adam audio a8h in a small room now and they are spaced out and they perform really well and the back wall is treated with a 100ml rockwool panels plenty of pro use big monitors in small rooms I have known plenty of producers to use Mackie hr824 mk2 in small rooms
Man, you could have not said it any better and thank you for taking the time to share this with me. It hurt me so damn much doing this trade for some smaller speakers and I definitely do feel like I took a hit, but surprisingly enough the small Atom D3Vs have been very impressive, but of course not compared to other bigger ADAM pairs 😢. Flex beat feels kinda bad and cheap having to use the touchscreen when it has the exact layout on screen as the actual pads are laid out. Like why tf can’t we use the pads with flex? Makes no sense at all, seems a bit undercooked
Hey brother, there’s so many ways to do this processes, but I think the easiest would be by exporting your final beats as an MP3 or a WAV file onto your external SD card or USB stick, once you have it on your external hard drive, then you could pop that into your computer and from your computer, AirDrop it to your phone or publish the song to different streaming platforms
I export it to the sd card, put the card into my sd card reader on my pc and then email the file to myself and open/ download it to my phone. It will download right to your “files” app if you have iPhone, or some equivalent of that if you have some other phone
There's SD card readers with USB C connector. I use that to copy mp3s from my MPC to my phone directly. Use spotify to play tracks on the internal drive of the phone.

Yes, that one is called PER4MER by MODBAP, look it up on TH-cam. I did a review on this a while back. It’s a really unique device. 🫡

Hey Malo, really love your videos.
I got myself a mpc live 2 recently, and I was looking to your masterclass, is this on mpc 3.0 or the older Software?
@@malibluex6216 hey brother, thank you so much for sharing the love and to answer your question, yes, the course will cover 2.0 from start to finish and also 3.0 so you’ll have both software versions walk-through
@malobeats thanks for the quick answer, im really lost at the moment as I came from fl studio to mpc, but im sure your masterclass will help me there :)
@ dude, check out the link on my bio and go through the chapters and modules so you could get a better understanding on what you could get out of the course if you decide to make the investment. Also, please do not hesitate to reach out and shoot me an email so we can talk. email malobeats9@gmail.com
Had my MPC one plus for almost a year now. Still having trouble navigating and getting super comfortable with it as I’m completely new to making beats. Def gonna grab your course. I need some solid foundational skills to build off of
@@eddyb5592 hey brother, thank you for tapping in and the course would be very helpful for what you’re going through. I go over the foundation of the MPC getting you from start to finish building a beat. You’ll have access to the 2.0 firmware videos and also the 3.0 firmware videos depending on which version you want to stick with. Also, you can shoot me an email and we can talk a bit more if you have any further questions on your MPC
@ man. I just went through the first few modules for 3.0. Man listen! You made this so much more enjoyable and easier to understand. I’m looking toward to finishing the course and sharpening these skills no. Def recommend this course for beginners.
@@eddyb5592 man, you have no idea how much this means thank you so much for your feedback. This truly means the world being able to be a part of your journey. For the Key 37, do more sounds come by way of purchasing Expansion Packs?
Got one last week and about 8 banks are preloaded (Hype, Mellotron, Solina, etc..)
@@robertprince2651 that’s interesting, not sure if when you purchased it a guy gave you a few vouchers for some plug-in instruments. I know they do that sometimes.
If i bought a new MPC (MPC X), what is the learning curve on it? Is there any great online courses or small schools (in LA, NYC, or in TX)? I always thought they were super cool!
That’s awesome you’re considering the MPCX. Such an awesome machine and there’s a whole lot of information with any of these newer MPC’s as they all run the same software so any information with any of the newer MPC’s will most likely get you around your MPCX I do have a course that takes you from start to finish, but it’s on the MPC OnePlus and the MPC live
Malo, what cables are you using to connect the Adam D3v’s to you mpc?
Can you use the Roland with an MPC One Plus? Or what would be compatible with it?
MPC One Plus is compatible.
Do a studio tour and show us all your gear
Oh, thank you so much for mentioning this. I’m actually working on a video showing behind the scenes of my studio. This will be coming out very soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this in the comment section.
Great upload. But no chops download. Lol. Yo I've been waiting on u to review or show how to use the new AIR multi band filter. You gonna make one bro?
Yo, are you part of our Patreon? Tap in right there to download these chops. Also, I did pick up that new air multiband filter, but have not mess with it as much. Been super busy with this move, but I hope to dive into it within the next few days. Thank you so much for dropping by and sharing this feedback, brother it truly means a lot.

What happened to the Analog Heat? I bought the +FX and its so incredible...
Did you try the iLoud Micro Monitors? Those are my favorite small desktop monitors.
@@BlakeSuperior_Beats I did and they came very close to these DV 3 but I still felt like the DV three had a better low and response. But the iloud speakers really surprised me as they sound so good despite the size they are.
@@malobeats Thank you for the information. I might have to pick up a set of those DV3's!
Peace
Yo, thank you so much for sharing this and I do see the benefit of having something like Spotify being able to tap into different genres at any moment.
Transfer your question, I just use the stock cartridge that came with this audio Tech LP 60 I am planning on investing on a better turntable down the road. The one that I have right now has been great to me, but it’s on its last legs. I’ve had it for over four years already.
What's the best sd card to get? Size?
Curious, is there any reason you'd wanna go for the mpc live II over the mpc keys 37? Same functionality, but a keyboard built in seems like a no-brainer to me. Plus, it's cheaper.
@@monkihousemusik great question, there’s a few more perks you do get when purchasing the live2 you do get portability, onboard speaker, extra outputs, and the ability to install an internal SSD drive to the unit. Although mentioning these extra features to some people, they’re not really a need in their workflow so if that’s not something that you see yourself using I would definitely go with the MPC key 37 🔥
@@malobeats geat answer. Appreciate it 🙏
Is there ever a situation when you would link the live and key 37 via midi?
I’m not sure I would be where I am now without your videos.
i noticed you didn't mention the elektron analog heat. i know you did a video in it previously. just wondering why you failed to give it a shout out?
Korg Nanokey fold,,, its a ultra clutch for a midi
Malo. Where can I listen to your beats or your beattape?
Check my links in description or just look me up under “malo beats” on streaming platforms 🫡
Chroma console or microcosm or pedals, midi controller
@@larrymyers5989 thank you for this. Ima check your that Chroma Console 🙏🙏🙏
What’s your thoughts on the x se for a fort mpc buy? Future proof and workflow?
Man!! it’s crazy. You just mentioned this since the MPCX was never on my radar before but ever upgrading to the MPC 3.0 software I’ve been considering on picking up an MPCX. I could see the value specially having those extra outputs and that screen Real Estate navigating through some of these new futures and MPC 3.0. if you have the extra cash to spare, I think the MPCX would be the way to go.

don't ever think your studio monitors are to over kill for the size of the room
i made this mistake years ago by switching out hs80m for hs7s big mistake
smaller monitors have less detail than full range monitors I have Adam audio a8h in a small room now
and they are spaced out and they perform really well and the back wall is treated with a 100ml rockwool panels
plenty of pro use big monitors in small rooms I have known plenty of producers to use Mackie hr824 mk2 in small rooms
Hopefully down the road as I expand my studio I’ll get a second pair.
Does your MPC Course include MPC 3.0?
@@Frequences_Part4 absolutely. It has the 2.0 videos and also 3.0 videos. Right now the last chapter that’s remaining for the 3.0 videos is the mixing and exporting chapter, but you have access to all the other chapters already when you sign up today.
I have a question. What else does the 404 improve in the mpc? Because essentially doesn’t the flex beat plugin do the same thing?
I’ve found flex beat doesn’t offer quite the tactile experience
Some folks are running flex beat midi mapped to a mpd218 or similar controller.
Flex beat feels kinda bad and cheap having to use the touchscreen when it has the exact layout on screen as the actual pads are laid out. Like why tf can’t we use the pads with flex? Makes no sense at all, seems a bit undercooked
@@0mgwtfsrslyoh shoot. How do you map the midi to a controller?
Question Malo how do I take the beats I made on MPC Live 2 and hear them in my car or export the beats to my phone / blue tooth
SD Cards are EXTREMELY volatile.. external usb is the way to go for storage in my opinion
@@Ru5hMusic thank you for this input brother I’ve had my SD card for years and never has failed me once. Thank you for the input and taking the time to share this with us 🫡
