There are many signs of the end of the day that were spoken by the Prophet Muhammad. For example, the lifting of knowledge, ignorance, adultery is done openly until men become few and women become many.
However, what is the last sign of the end of the day? Who are the people who feel the end of the day?
One of the signs of the great end of the day is the emergence of a great fire. According to the book Signs of the End of the Day by Atho'illah Umar who quoted al Nihayah in al Gharib al Hadith, several narrations mention that the fire came out of Yemen under the city of Aden.
This city is located in the south of the Arabian Peninsula, above Hadramaut which is now known as the Arabian Sea. There is a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad explaining about the 10 signs of the end of the day.
Meaning: "From Hudzaifah bin Asid Al Ghifari said, the Messenger of Allah SAW approached us while we were talking about something. He asked, 'What are you talking about?' We said, 'We are talking about the Hour.' He said, 'The Hour will not come until you see ten signs before it.' The Messenger of Allah mentioned the fog, the Dajjal, the beast (ad-dābbah), the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus, son of Mary, Ya'juj and Ma'juj, three eclipses; an eclipse in the east, an eclipse in the west and an eclipse in the Arabian Peninsula and the last is a fire that appears from Yemen driving people towards their place of gathering," (Abul Husayn Muslim bin Hajjaj bin Muslim An-Naisaburi, Al-Jāmi'us Ṣaḥīḥ, [Beirut, Dārul Afaq Al-Jadidah: no year], volume VIII, page 178).
Quoting the Book of Sahih Bukhari, Imam Bukhari also narrated the emergence of fire as a sign of the Hour. "From Anas RA, when Abdullah bin Salam converted to Islam, he asked the Prophet SAW several questions, including, "What sign will appear first when the Day of Judgment comes?"
The Prophet SAW replied, "The first sign to appear when the Day of Judgment occurs is fire that drives people from east to west."
According to the Book of Fath Bari, there are several hadiths that argue that fire is the last sign of the signs of the great apocalypse. However, there are also those who say that fire is the first sign of the signs of the Day of Judgment.
It is said to be the last sign according to the hadith of Hudzaifah. Meanwhile, it is said that the first means that there is no more human life after it.
