Younger than 30? Think you need your eyes checked man. She looks good for her age definitely. But if you look like this at 30 you’re doing something wrong
Yeah she's great! The fact that she had the privilege of designing Indy's fashion is amazing! I got to get her on my Indiana Jones podcast and interview her!
It really is true. You’re not gonna know that you’ll be dressing an actor and that actor or the movie becomes an icon or a classic because you’re just doing your job, I used to work in the film industry. After a while, each job seems the same. If you’re lucky you’ll get a movie like Indiana Jones and Raiders.
I never seen The Blues Brothers all the way through. I never realized Steven Spielberg was in the Blues Brothers or that a meeting on the Blues Brothers was to talk about doing Indiana Jones.
@@YakubibnEsau I know, but she said she got the hat from the Australian model and modified it. If Herbert Johnson made it, how could that be so? The Australian model has one side of the brim turned up on the left side and it has vent holes in it. Not the same hat at all.
Ok, so Steven gave her two movies as research "China" and "secret of the Incas". She literally just copied and pasted other costume designers outfits.....art thief
She calls it the “Australian Model” with the upturned brim on one side. So where did the “Poet” title come into play? Deborah never mentions any hats made with that title. Seems like there’s some contradiction going on here…..
@@ramirodeiturralde8029 there are several movies and serials that Indy's look comes from. Secret of the Incas is just one of many. I think we're all fairly aware of the influences, and I'm fairly certain that the filmmakers have given these films credit when they've mentioned them as influences on multiple occasions. My point is that she didn't just "copy a look". There are a lot of differences in Indy's costume that are very different from Heston's. Also, she didn't just design one costume for Indy and call it a day. She outfitted the entire production. You're selling the costumer designer's job incredibly short if you think all she did was "copy a look".
Thank you for watching my interview with Deborah Nadoolman! If you liked it, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE! I’m posting new celebrity interviews every week!
The video says the hat was made of beaver pelt. I believe that is incorrect. It's rabbit fur. She sure is a very attractive woman!
So happy to have met her yesterday. Incredible woman ❤
Can we take a moment to appreciate how good she looks? All I heard was 40th Aniv. with the costume designer, who looks younger then 30, Kuddos!
As of right now she's 69 years old. I hope I manage to age half as well!

Thank you for making this happen !
Wow that is just awesome thank you for making such an iconic costume
Thanks to this lady who had the great job in dressing Harriosin Ford as Indy. His clothes is iconic.

My favorite Jake's Take's yet
"Okey-Dokey, Dr. Jones"!

Nice video. The fedora wasn't beaver felt. It was rabbit.
I guess they took info from the Crystal Skull hats even though it says Herbert Johnson
@@johnjim7701 they must've. That's the only one that was made of beaver out of all 4 films right?
@@JDJohnston9906753 Correct, I feel like they're gonna use beaver again for the 5th movie since Harrison Ford really loved the hat used in Indy 4
If you say it is, you must be right.
I Have One Of The INDIANA JONES FEDORA HAT I HAVE THE BOOTS ROUND HITCHES THAT GOES ON THE 🥾 BOOTS
It's sad that she has to go by her maiden name now. Great interview, chief.
Why’s that?
Doesn't add up since the Akubra Auatralian model has vent holes in he sides of the hat and the Poet does not.
The original hat is from Herbert Johnson in London.

@@Man_Cave I think you’re thinking of the famous slouch hat of the military.
@@YakubibnEsau Correct. Which is the hat she claimed she modified for Harrison. I frankly don't see how that's possible.
She must be wrong then. Because she was there and did it, can't be right. You must be correct

What is she talking about? They just copied Charlton Heston’s look from the other previous movie.
A lot more goes into it than that, but good on you for oversimplifying it I guess?
@@JDJohnston9906753 you don’t think it deserved at least some credit? It is exactly the same look as in the 1954’s movie.
