Quick addition from my experiences with mydesign: 1. You can add a mockup slot while creating a new mockup simply by clicking the (+) symbol next to the mockup slot selector 2. You can start a new collection already with the etsy template, just choose saved template -> etsy template. And not the default one. 3. You can create preset color sets under 'assets'. This allows to simply choose a default color like 'dark grey heather' for examplr which you dont know the hex code of. Just create and name the color sets and then click the drop down arrow in the mockup process next to the color picker to choose from your color presets. Especially the third Is a timesaver when you want your mockup to have a certain color which you dont know the hex code of. Hope this help someone! I love mydesigns and the fact that its free is just crazy!

I am kind of new to Etsy and MyDesigns looks like a AWESOME tool to automate my upload process . I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. I upload my images to my Printify account and from Printify I post the items to my Etsy store. How would it work if I am using MyDesigns to upload my images? How do I pick the colors I want to use from my Printify account? I hope this makes sense. My next question is does this tool work with Redbubble and TeePublic? Thanks so much for your time.

Please show us how to apply designs to other products via a collection copy. I want to take my designs and create mugs from the existing listings. Any update on when Printify will be integrated?
Hey @Pxl Jedi, The best way to do this is to just setup an additional dataset + additional file slots and keep them within the same collection. You can have multiple datasets that contain title/tags/description fields for your clothing listings, mug listings, ect. along with additional file slots that contain your print-files for each product type. I realized a lot of people don't know this is possible so I'll make a video on it soon.
Where do you find those backwards baseball caps? I've searched many stores, but all they ever have is caps pointing to the front! The pointing-back ones are SO COOL!!!
I was informed and read that, according to Etsy's guidelines. As it states on Etsy's Policies, we are not permitted to use premade designs, such as those from Creative Fabrica, in their original form to sell on physical products POD. However, we can use these designs if we add personalization to the premade design, where the customer can add a name, date, etc. Please let me know if this is what you understand as well. Thanks!
So if we are selling products from Printify we can not use my designs….is that a correct statement? It appears they don’t connect to Printify so how would listings get linked for fulfillment …thank you for all the info and help

Love this, and REALLY appreciate your video(s), but I am struggling with image placement. When using Printify I typically adjust and readjust the image until it looks like I want it to. Up, down, larger, smaller, etc. I've had trouble doing this in MyDesigns. I'm using the Canvas function but it seems really clunky - making me think I must be doing something wrong, but I have watched the videos (the MyDesign videos on Canvas) and I've used the AI chat but it's still 'not smooth'. Have you heard of anyone else having trouble with this aspect of the platform??
I always optimize my designs at 4500 * 5400 px before uploading, so it's standardized and i never have to worry about image placement. that you for sharing though, I will pass this tip along in future videos

Great video. I've watched your others as well. Curious to hear your thoughts on using MyDesigns for digital download products. I know how to do it. But I'm not a fan of the download files being hosted with MyDesigns. So much so that I used MyDesigns for bulk creation of listings, mockups, and publishing the listings to Etsy. Then I went to each listing in Etsy and deleted the MyDesigns download file and uploaded my image files, which were less than 20MB. This, of course, turned an efficient process into an a less efficient process. If I remember correctly from one of your other videos, you hosted your digital download files with MyDesigns.
Hmmm. I just did a search in the MyDesigns community and found that (maybe) it is possible to upload your zipped files and they will get published into the listing. For some reason, I didn't think this was possible. I asked for clarification with a specific example of uploading 4 zip files (into 4 file slots) and whether they are pushed along with the listing to Etsy into the digital downloads section. Hopefully, this does work (and I did a bunch of clicking and uploading for nothing...)
Hey Wayne, so I am planning on deep diving more into MyDesigns (using their Dream AI) for new digital download products. In the past I had explored routes to find a way to get graphics to utilize & sell, but didn't find any major successes. But for any of my digital download listings that I create in MyDesigns, I let them host the "payload" and send to the customer, for sake of saving time 👍
I also use 4500x5400 as my ‘artboard’ but but not every design covers the full space, and if you have a design that doesn’t fill the space, and just align every image to the top, depending on the image, it can look really weird and too heavy. In other words the design is too close to the neckline and there’s a lot of space/area below the image. (Not sure if I’m explaining that well enough). Getting it placed correctly often requires ‘fiddling’ with it to get the right placement. This is where there doesn’t seem to me a function for eyeballing, or adjusting the image placement yet. Thx for sending that up the line - maybe we’ll see it fixed in an update soon.

You can public digital files through Mydesigns as well (in bulk). It would help with mockups, it does file type conversions as well, and can do a video for you 👍

I have enough technical aptitude to use computers and whatnot lol and learn how to use sites like awkward styles to upload to Etsy, but then when I see a really useful tool like this my mind is like oh crap, how would this all work together? So, how would this work when uploading through Awkward Styles? Hope my question makes sense.
Hey James, so you can export the Image + Video mockups (download them to your computer) and then manually upload to your Etsy listings that you created in Awkward Styles, and take a similar approach where you can use the Phraser AI for Title + Tags and move them to your Awkward Styles created listings. Otherwise, you might want to just use a production partner that MyDesigns currently integrates with (they may add Awkward Styles in the future) 👍
Awkward Styles is on our roadmap. We have a few other printers to integrate with first, then we'll look at adding Awkward Styles as a print fulfillment provider inside MyDesigns.
Let me know what niche you're selling in where you think keywords in your description are getting you ranked on page 1... If it's even remotely crowded, I promise your description isn't making a difference

Would love to know how you integrate printify after your Etsy listings are published. Do you manually sync the orders as they come in?
If you publish through MyDesigns, you use their fulfillment partners. I don't think they allow you to un-sync (yet)

Writing one good description for bulk listings is a horrible idea for SEO purposes! I would use chat gpt to write each description in bulk using CSV!
