Killing Joke live à L'Hammersmith Palais diffusé en 1982 dans l'émission Megahertz présentée par Alain Maneval. Killing Joke at the Hammersmith Palais in 1982 only 6 songs were broadcasted by the french TV.
Back in the day, when I bought "Killing Joke," "What's THIS for" and "Revelations," I always wondered if they could possibly sound as powerful live. Living in Cleveland, USA, I didn't think I would ever have the chance to see them live. This video and the others in this series show just how amazing KJ were live. I NEVER get tired of "The Fall of Because." I listened to it this morning, 10 May 2019, at work. The first 3 Killing Joke records were among the first CDs I bought when it became clear that CDs would replace vinyl. I am in my 60s and will continue to listen to those CDs until I die. Such a powerful, powerful band!
great, tight performance! Killing joke are raw, haunting, monotonous and "primitive" in a great way. the tribal drumming and riffs sometimes have some psychedelic quality to it.
The sound of the Earth vomiting", was how Big Paul had once described Killing Joke. This song, which opens their second album 'What's This For...!" is a masterpiece that fully embodies that description. "The Fall of Because" is indeed raw and primitive, a unique sound unequalled by the recordings that followed.
i was at this gig - a clockwork orange at nuremberg. pissing down with rain outside - Aztec Camera got canned off stage and an outdoor b/c camera got pulled over about 3 songs in
Absolutely off the grid powerhouse pure energy would love to buy a copy of this gig on disc off anyone if possible Regret not seeing Joke live last Punk gig i did was The Damned Dec 81 happy days!
they ruled the beginning of the 80's: huuuuge raw group: always been mesmerized by Geordie's linear playing and sound: fantastic rythm guitar. They lasted too long; Jazz predicted 20 months before the occidental world went "Boooooommmm"; they should not have exceeded that lapse of time. to be "good" implies to get "better"; they just began to be "better"; so sad.
RIp Geodie this is so sad! too young to die :'(
Geordie is gone, another legend has left us...
Killing Joke were 100 years ahead of their time. They weren't a rock band. They were an artistic prophesy of what is coming

they seem if anything more relevant today!
Revelations classic Album.
Love the way the drummer is doing a cross armed tom rhythm but makes it look so effortless
A fucking force of nature. Thanks for sharing this with the rest of the world.

I'm more of a metal music fan but there was something about this song that just intoxicated me from the beginning, definitely one of my favourites
probably the most intense gig I've been too, was a great venue, brilliant
41 years ago bouncing to this live in concert , oh fuck I'm getting old but this track is not, "MAGIC".
