Reading the manual, it looks like this has to bind to a drone, so it wouldnt even work with spektrum receivers? Personally I am looking for a RID that I can just plug into power at my field, and broadcast 24/7 rather than installing one in every plane, or swapping them in and out.
It looks like if you turn it on first then plug in the charger it will show up on the map. while plugged in it shows a red light and one green light. when i unplug the charger it has 2 blinking green lights. Edit: Well I tried to go out of the app then plug it into the charger while it was on and it seems like it pops up on the map but the info that comes up on the bottom doesn't show. That is the info where you can see the user name ( Whatever you entered when you set it up) along with the FAA number. So maybe its really not transmitting
