      Russia's own nuclear doctrine prevents them from using nuclear weapons in such a scenario. In the event of a neighboring country invading disputed parts of Russia. It can only use nuclear weapons if the Russian's states integrity is threatened i.e. an invading army is encroaching on Moscow.

    I would be concerned about Putin's demise, remember Churchill on the death of Lenin
    Churchill wrote that the Russians’ “worst misfortune was his birth, their next worst - his death.” Lenin “alone could have led Russia into the enchanted quagmire; he alone could have found the way back to the causeway. He saw; he turned; he perished.”

    Showing how vunerable russia is such, that even if they win, america and china will not take them seriously again, This is not necessary a good thing. The balance of power works best when they are not sure how the third major force will react to the other two at war, Its also a disgrace that so much less is done and even said about the months of bombing of civilians in gaza, which is so much worse, At least ukraine is a huge country, within which to escape, gaza is little more than an open priso

    Fun Fact about Ukraine & Russia: It was Russia who saved The Union during the American Civil War as they sent their Navy to San Francisco and New York when England and France were just about to enter the war on the side of the Confederates since London created the Confederates. France was already in Mexico making a spear head movement to resupply the Confederates and to open up a Pacific Theatre and to create a in California. England already amassed 11,000 troops and growing stationed at their Northern Confederacies border now called Canada ready to open a Northern Theatre to divert Union troops away from their Southern Confederacy then to attack The Unions naval blockade. The Union would have been completely destroyed and annexed by those two great powers leaving the Confederates to exist as either a puppet state of London or to be fully brought back into the fold of the British Empire.
    London was already courting (threatening/bribing) other countries to get involved like Spain while Russia was in talks with Prussia to ally with incase London was to intervene.
    Seeing all of this Tsar Alexander II wrote a letter to Queen Victoria saying “If you enter in this war it will be a casus belli for all out war with the Russian Empire”. The stage was set for the 1st World War and Russia stopped it.
    There is also a memorial in San Francisco for the hundreds of Russian sailors who came off their Asiatic fleet ships that died while helping the city put out a fire that threatened to lay waste to it during the War.

    • @JPJ432
      @JPJ432 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      The Russian fleet also threatened to Shell Australian ports along with other British Pacific Colonies if Britain aided the Confederates. A confederate war ship spent a lot of time in Australian waters and was supported by the Australian public, some even signing on as crew members. This Confederate war ship laid waist to the US Pacific whaling fleet and is reported to have fired the last shot in the war. The name of the ship was called the CSS Shenandoah. Its surrender was at Liverpool England where Confederate Commander Bulloch was stationed.
      Bulloch was the head spy Chief for the Confederates and main go between for London, Montreal, and Richmond. He was heavily involved in the finance of the South with British banking and supplied the south with its warships as most of them were made by the British. He was good friends with those who drafted the Very discriminatory Confederate Constitution and those that would later create the 'Clan'. He was also heavily involved in the assassinations of Lincoln and his cabinet members. He was Also the Uncle to President Theodore Roosevelt (on his mothers side of course) and Teddy greatly looked up to him and learned much from him from a very early age. Teddy called him 'Uncle Jimmy'. This is where Teddy Roosevelt got the idea for the 'Eff Bee Eye' he modeled it almost exactly from Londons 'Em Eye Five'.
      Russia also helped Thailand (Kingdom of Siam) maintain its sovereignty from being completely Partitioned/Annexed from the British and French around the same time. The very word Thai (ไทย) means 'free man' in the Thai language which is partially to thank to the Russians as they might have ended up being a colony or part of another country/colony if not for their intervention.

    I am reminded of a scene in 'The Death of Stalin' where Georgi Malenkov and Niki Khrushchev are quickmarching away from Berias office in the NKVD building, muttering (aware of bugs), worrying at the warnings and threats just received, counter-plotting; in the backround as the camera pulls back is a flight of stairs topped with two bluecaps 'assisting' a straght jacketed, hooded character on his obviously hampered excursion to the forever sleep.

      You're simply repeating a phrase of the terminally online. Do you know Russian culture? Are you Slavic? The commentary made in this video is credible. "Any sign of weakness is fatal." The fact of the matter is that wars are political matters. Russian resolve is limited by numerous factors that make this war far more complicated than the stalemate it appears to be. A breakdown of command structure is all that's necessary to achieve Ukrainian victory. What options does Russia have left on the escalatory ladder? Theyre begging hermit states for arms because their most crucial ally won't supply arms for fear of disrupting vital economic arrangements with Ukraine's partners... It is a grim situation for Russian strategists. How does anything resembling a victory emerge from this? And this is what the video is describing. There is no one coping.
      For the average Russian the effects of the war will be harsh in the next 12 months. The ruble is weakening. Inflation is severe. Their perceived weakness in Beijing is noted. China sits in wait for the perfect moment to exploit their 'limitless' friendship.
      Ukraine's incursion is not a simple matter of land, bargaining chips, it's significance is that it contradicts the idea that Putin is in control of the security of the Russian state. This is the ultimate necessity for any strong Russian leader. It always has been the case with Russian rulers. They are tasked with security provision over vast territories. Ukraine has successfully shown that the red lines are flexible, that the Russian oligarchy stands to lose the assets and freedom they enjoyed under the previously vaunted leadership in the Kremlin. Everything is beginning to break down in Russia, including the regime itself. For the first time in the war there are signs that even on a strategic military level, Ukraine will be able to deliver decisive strikes inside Russian territory. On that issue alone, the size of Russias territory works against it. Ukraine is winning beyond the front lines. Russia has no way to isolate Ukraine. For that it needs air dominance, and it can only achieve local air superiority at best. If Russia could, they'd have dealt with the corridor between Poland and Ukraine. They can't, and with F-16s assumed to be in Western Ukraine, such a mission would be interdicted. The Black Sea is not controlled by Russia and there is little to suggest that Russia will be able to take Ukraine's entire coastline. Isolating Ukraine is the only way Russia can achieve its maximalist goals. What have they done for the last 900 days besides deplete every resource at hand. Russia is in crisis at the moment on many levels.
