    This is to shorten the original video, only removing the bar stud installation. I put the cart before the horse on installing the studs and will post a separate video on that step.

    I ended up replacing the springs in the clutch to oem, the springs that came with the kit broke very quickly for me.

      Save the extra. Go to stihl tell them you have a 090 and you need both crank nuts. You get better service if you tell him what I told you to tell him and don't mention that you're working on a kit You're working on an 090.
      The kit nuts are a problem You're better off with the real thing. I just did a a video not long ago on upgrades on the 070 check it out this is a good time for you to have that information Good luck

    So the clutch is working on a metal on metal contact? Or there is some oil as well? Or there is some brake padlike material that I don't see?

      It is setup just like all Stihl saws, metal to metal. There is a clutch setup that has brake lining material on the shoes that you can get from Stihl and upfit the clone. ( No oil)

    I'm having issues with that tapered sleeve that holds the clutch slipping and not allowing the chain to move. I'm about to replace it for the second time in a month. Have you had any issues like this? My first one lasted me probably a year before it went bad

      @@the1chainsawguy I bought a supposed OEM nut and the threads were wrong :(

      @the1chainsawguy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xDoItAllx left hand threads. It needs to come from Stihl store. No way around it. You will have problems and end up breaking off the crank end if you don't.
