    This is one of those rainflies with lots of setup options. In this video I show 12 different ways to rig the rainfly:
    1. As Designed Expanded
    2. As Designed
    3. Fold Back
    4. Narrow Porch
    5. Big A Frame
    6. Expanded Big A Frame
    7. Big Porch
    8. Lean To
    9. Asymmetrical Diamond
    10. Mega Porch
    11. Pup Tent
    12. Expanded Pup Tent
    I really like having lots of options when it comes to setting up my hammock and tarp. Sometimes I think half the reason those of us that love hammocking do it just so we can tinker with different rainfly and hammock setups. 😊

    What you did with the hiking poles is actually genius. I would have NEVER thought to try doing that.

      And this is the strength of the internet and services like TH-cam, the transmittal of knowledge. I'm glad I was able to show you something useful. :)

    Hello Glenn, you can tell right away that you are a practitioner and that you use the Onewind Rainfly often and with pleasure. I have never seen so many construction variants compactly summarized in one video. It really is a video by bushcrafters for bushcrafters. Best regards from Germany, Bernd

      Thanks Bernd. Sometimes I think half the reason I go out into the woods is just to play around with my gear. 😀

    I enjoyed your video. Just got this tarp and love it so far but was curious on the expanded a-frame set up with the trekking poles. I assume your using a continuous ridgeline underneath your tarp so the poles can lay on top? Just curious because I am fairly newer to hammock camping.

      Exactly that. For all those different versions the ridgeline is a given.

    Hello Glenn, thanks for sharing your multiple setups for this. What is the length of your poles when they’re fully extended?

    • @amputeeoutdoors
      @amputeeoutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas, my hiking poles are 54 inches or 137 centimeters.

    What size and length of bungee cords do you use? Thanks In advance 😊

    • @amputeeoutdoors
      @amputeeoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Macio, I use standard bungee cords you can get from any hardware store. Just make sure the hooks are plastic and not metal. The covers on the metal hooks wear off and then catch on your gear. I use two lengths, 2 foot and 3 foot. The 3 foot bungee cords are for there I'll set my hiking poles.

    What length cord do you use to lift the sides with your poles?

    • @amputeeoutdoors
      @amputeeoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have two lengths, a couple of 2 footers and a couple of 3 footers. The 3 foot bungie cords go on the front, the 2 footers on the back.

    How much does the 12 ft version weigh?
