Great video as always Pete! It really is cool how efficiently you can make music using these new Session Players, and how much variability each SI has. I was wondering, could you maybe do a video on mixing and mastering tips for the new Logic Pro if you have a chance? I always seem to struggle getting my final projects up to "industry standards".
Yes, for sure. I'll be tackling this again soon. For now, you can check out my videos from last year's #Songtember. th-cam.com/play/PLc8Xg_23Wa57SX_CbuBPr85WgUjezceyE.html
Different tools for different jobs. If I’m writing a song and just want to start recording - it’s GarageBand. If I want more flexibility and tools for mixing - Logic. So… it’s both. 😎
@@PeteJohnsMusic I was hoping you’d say “GarageBand,” because it’s easier. Hah. Reason being is that I had Logic Pro for its demo period and dropped it because felt more at home with GarageBand, while keeping Final Cut Pro so that I could eventually make Videos of me “playing,” while simultaneously using GarageBand to capture the audio tracks. I’m combing both audio and video to sync in Final Cut Pro for iPad; of which I haven’t yet tried. I might take another look at Logic Pro because it’s probably a better match to use with Final Cut Pro.
Yup, sure did! I mentioned this towards the end of the video. You can learn more about it here if you like - th-cam.com/video/hyZTPFE-H-4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wBJVIJnN38jKbtGZ
Yup. I hear you. Even on my 2020 iPad Pro I struggle a bit. Apple did say that M1 is recommended for Session Players. Perhaps they should have just made it a hard cutoff like Sten Splitter? But then you couldn’t even use Drummer? So I guess it’s just a thing!
@@PeteJohnsMusic Is there a way to add different sounds to the new a I drummer track? Like sounds from a custom built drum machine designer? How can you add different sounds into the new drummer I’m sorry to ask the same question… and I’m talking about trap drummer…

It was a great content :))It would be great in a hip hop and r&b style song with the same method
Totally! Maybe I need to do “making a beat” with electronic drums and synths? 🤔
Wow my friend, great video, simple and right to the point. Love your tutoring.
Thanks so much my friend. Appreciate you.
Had a blast playing along creating my own thing - something I wouldn’t have thought of.
Super fun isn’t it? I was having a blast and had to focus and make the video. 😎
That was an awesome video Pete !!
Thanks my friend. Glad to hear!
Wow that’s wild! You basically made a whole song in like 15 minutes!
Pretty fun isn’t it?
Big thanks for the algorithm. 👍
👍😎
That was cool Pete. Glad you showed this. What’s your preferred app; GB or Logic Pro?

you had a chord track in there at the beginning with your initial piano/sax melody?

Sir, What ipad model are you using? Cause my ipad keeps on overloading
Yes, it’s pretty resource intensive. Any M1 or better iPad will work well but you Oder ones can struggle a little.
G'day Pete.🐨
Howdy. 🍄
Yeah well you certainly can’t do that on an iPad 9 gen. It shuts down after the second or third session player instrument is added.
