It might be Eve Scout, but at one time, I used a website or maybe a chat channel to find Thera wormhole entrances. Then, on the same site, once in Thera, they had prescouted wormholes out to the various areas of Eve. I used it to get to the Drone Lands. The places were linked in the chat, I think.
They maintain a publicly accessible folder with bookmarks for the Thera wormholes. I'm not sure whether Bill would be allowed to use that under the rules of the run, though. He can apparently use all kinds of websites made and maintained by other players, but that might be different with stuff that's available in game.
@@TeaDrivenDev With any run, the creator gets to decide where they draw the line. Did bill build an athanor? No, but he is using them. Is it fair that he save himself from a few years of grinding out asteroids for himself, I think so. The question is not whether we think it fair, but that he flies by his own rules and we are along for the ride.
after watching this series its convinced me to return to EVE, so ive made a new Alpha char and started on my own journey , although i've allowed myself to get a daily log-in bonus . after 3 years away all i can say is its the same game but everythings different .( i miss the in-game browser)

Once i got involved with a wormhole corp(Ch3ss:), k space wasn't even livable anymore. I miss it, but I dont have the time to dedicate. Keep on truckin, man. I enjoy your videos.
People might camp the wormholes, but I imagine there can be a few choices in at any one time. And if everyone is after everyone maybe it makes camping a bit more difficult than the usual camps. Maybe it exposes the campers themselves. Good luck. Been enjoying your series.
Surely taking a trip to Amarr or Caldari low sec would've been quicker to grab some Pyroxeres, the volume is 0.15 opposed to 0.6 per unit for Omber, could've saved a fair bit of time... Also, I thought you were just going to take the Thorax copy with you, not the BPO? This adventure just got real, awesome stuff!
There were undoubtedly many many ways I could have gotten the Pyerite with less effort, but I'm not sure there was a more reliable way to get it while still guaranteeing I could be back to my wormhole in Saidusairos within the time limit... But this IS a very good point. I have so little experience with mining, it didn't really occur to me to consider how important the volume of the ore is in determining yield.
@@tabarnoucheinterplanetary very fair point, I was more thinking it would be easy to pop out of Thera but I get you wanting to sort it before diving down that particular rabbit hole! Regardless I think we agree either way was still quicker than mining Scordite in High Sec in a noob ship ;)
HAHA, We Form Volta, my old Aliance. :) WH Life is the most lucrative activity in Eve but far more dangerous than low/Nullsec, the only place more dangerous than WHs is Potchven. Hmmm, C1-C2 combat site Thorax for Blue loot?
No, it shows the complexity. It takes into account the size of the ammo being shot, the size of the ship being shot at, the transversal velocity, the signature radius, the tracking speed of the battleships guns, and I'm probably forgetting some other stuff. This is why eve is so rewarding as a pvp game because if you can use the knowledge to your advantage you can beat players in better ships.
@@umadbroimatroll7918 Yes, it's complex. It's also absurd that a combat battleship can't do anything to a mining frigate. Whether it's enjoyable in a game is irrelevant to the topic.
@@szkoclaw it would be absurd if the battleship could do it. That battleship in no way should be able to hit a target moving that fast, that small, and with high transversal velocity. Same with real life, the Battleship Bismarck wouldn't be able to hit a speedboat, no matter how many weapons it fires, because the target is too small and too fast. Only if the transversal velocity drops enough to get a clear shot, that's the only chance.
Honestly though, this is more an issue of NPC ships not having full player-style fits. That same battleshipship flown by a player would have scrammed me and hit me with a 90% web. And then, if its guns somehow still couldn't track a virtually stationary Venture, it would just launch a flight of small drones to finish the job. Every single player-flown Battleship has tools available to it that should let it always deal with a single player-flown Frigate, if it's fit with an ounce of sense. But, fortunately, the NPCs do not fit with an ounce of sense.
@@tabarnoucheinterplanetary npc ships that have drone bays should be allowed to use them. The code for that is already in game as well, I forget which npcs make use of it, maybe in the Abyss? Personally, I'd like it if there was a purpose behind using ewar against npcs as well, but we do have server performance to consider too.

Camping in Thera is not worth it. There is always a bigger fish.

EVE's client performance has been really sketchy recently.
