    There is just something about how the great drummers love to share their craft. Mr Sucherman is one of the all time great drummers. A wonderful musician, and a kind caring person. I look forward to the opportunity to attend one of his workshops!

    My new favorite drummer. He is the total package. Chops for days. Grooves as well as he solos Lights out fills. Great communicator and teacher. Makes this old ex-pro ear trained drummer want to take lessons again after 50 years of playing. Todd rocks man!

    I like this guy, he's a good communicator and gives a fine example at the end of each lesson. Good series, thanks for posting.

    I am a drummer and drumming instructor. I think that Todd gets 10 thumbs up here!!! He demonstrated everything so well here and without showing off. He is not trying to prove anything here. He doesn't need to. He's already done that in his career. It is fantastic how he uses both traditional and matched grip. I really liked the way he demonstrated here in such a clean, precise, crisp manner. Yayyyy, Todd!!!

    Todd Sucherman of Styx introduces double strokes, accents, and paradiddles. His examples will be demonstrated on the snare drum and Roadshow Series kit. buff.ly/1FVmgiz

    If you look in the lexicon on the term “original badass”, there is a picture of Todd Sucherman there. What an amazing musician…!

    The man puts double strokes before paradiddles as if they’re easier! I’ve been working on my double strokes for twenty five years!

    Hello Mr. Sucherman, the demo is interesting, i ask you if you can give me informations on the pad for exercises that you hold above the snare drum, it seems to me excellent,sound content and an excellent response to the strokes of the drumsticks, i would like to buy it to continue my study, thanks, a greeting from Italy by Daniele.

    What kind of head is that snare drum?

    • @PearlDrumsUS
      @PearlDrumsUS  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is the TruTrac Electronic Drumhead which allowed Todd to perform at a low volume without changing his technique. You can find more information at pearldrum.com/products/kits/electronic-drumsets/tru-trac-drumheads/

    Whats up with that drum head? Looks weird!

    • @PearlDrumsUS
      @PearlDrumsUS  10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The batter head is a Tru-Trac Electronic Drumhead on an ePro Live snare drum. Tru-Trac Electronic Drumheads allows drummers to transition from acoustic to electronic drums with absolutely no alteration to their playing style.
