Thank you so much for pointing out the various CE ratings for impact/resistance! I am often looking at adventure/enduro gear for riding things like the TET tracks. Most often these trips do include quite a lot of stretches on-road where I'd like to be wearing AA/2 protection. However, most adventure/enduro gear that is lightweight does not include this level of protection. Obviously there's some brands that do: Adventure Spec, Rev'it Dirt, Mosko, but these are in the upper segment. There seems to be a gap in the market where these Scott garmets fit nicely 👍
I have bought a set myself for use in the spring / summer. They are just so nice to wear. We do also ship to the US! I didn't get too much chance before this video to use them due to the weather in the UK winter. I'll be doing plenty of further content on our Instagram on this set so do follow us if you're not already! - Andrew
Hey Andrew, I’m a fan of Scott adv stuff but I use a know armoured shirt, so I wanted a CE rated light jacket to go over the top for when the weather is cooler, I’d probably stick a wind proof and waterproof over the top in the coldest months, would you say this jacket would be suitable if not what could you recommend please?
Hi Ian, I’m all honesty this wouldn’t be ideal. I would look on Our site for items from the Rev’it Dirt series. This sounds exactly like what you are after. Either that or just keep going with the Knox stuff. Wearing their quilt with the jacket works brilliantly and they also have the Knox Dual Sport Pro which is designed for exactly what you mention. And for when it gets really wet you out the Welbeck over the top of that! - Andrew
That’s a little disappointing as I have some Scott trousers and ideally would have liked to have zipped them together. The Knox shirt I have is only A rated to would like a AA rated over jacket. I’ll keep looking👍
Andrew, hi. How would you stack this jacket up against Knox Tor? Speaking of lightweight jacket for summer adv touring/riding, which one gets your points? Let's leave waterproofing outside the conversation. Thank you.
Hi, good question. I actually have both! If I could only have one it would be the Knox Tor because it really does work a charm in super hot weather and has the armour fitting closer which is optimal. It comes down to the sort of riding you are doing in my opinion. I reach for the Superlight when it's nice but not crazily hot and I'm not doing anything too testing. For proper 'adventures' and taking off road I'd want the Tor - Andrew
I have the TCX Dritfers which are a typical full height ADV boot and they fit fine. If you have an actual MX boot like the Tech 7, they will just about fit, unless you have a size 12 UK shoe, or 'bigger' calves. It's difficult to give a one size fits all answer here I'm afraid. - Andrew
I'm reaching out to you as I've been following your TH-cam channel and I'm impressed with your content. Your video quality is much better. I found some problems with your channel. I would like to discuss this with you. Could you give me some of your precious time, so that I can explain the main problems of your channel

Scott just makes really nice stuff. Wish it was available in the US. I’d like to see some details on the pants.

@@AdventureRiderMoto Thank you! Poland says hi!
Can you share a little more info about abrasion resistance in case of tarmac spill for example?
Being AA CE approved : this specifies Zone 1 at 412.6rpm, 265.3rpm in Zone 2 and 147.4rpm (the equivalent of around 25kmh) in Zone 3.
Will trousers fit over MX boots?

Can you remove the knee armors from the pants ?
Yes you can.

Blimey. It's £100 cheaper in the EU.
That's Brexit for you. It won't be cheaper from Europe by the time you get your duties and shipping costs added on top - Andrew
