Always loved The House Without A Christmas Tree when I was a kid. I didn't find out until recently there were more of these specials made. Its great that all of same main characters are in all of these specials.
I didn't find out there were more but so far I've only come across three here on TH-cam loved them all but my favorite is a house without a Christmas 🎄
Do you remember watching these movies about “Addie Mills” when we were young? I read the books too. They’d come out at different holiday seasons. There’s a Thanksgiving, Valentines and Christmas one.
I don't think there was a valentines one THE HOUSE WITHOUT A CHRISTMAS TREE THE EASTER PROMSE AND THE THANKSGIVING ONE WHEN HER FRIEND THE OLD MAN DIED AND LEFT HER HIS HORSE
love all of these mini tv specials the characters make it and they always have the same ones and that special music thank you for putting this on youtube
I like how we see all the varied people's points of view: Dad, Grandma, Constance, the other children, and Addie's, of course. Love Addie's stubbornness. Not easy to make your own place in a small town, harder yet to come back after being away. There's no sure happy ending to these tales, but it's more like real life. You just keep trying, and trying to encourage others.
I enjoy all of these series! I am a little confused though, in the House without a Christmas tree, the Grandmother said it was her house and they came to live with her 🤔
Happy to see this movie bit Early for Easter 🐇🐇 but couldn't wait now I have house without Christmas tree and holiday treasure on DVDs wasn't able to find this one or The Valentine one but can see them on utube All The Addie mills stories are so good and The movies made from the books are so well written And acted always a lot of lessons to be learned
Imagine these screen legends from old Hollywood like Jean Simmons and Jason Robards doing family TV specials. Does anyone know what happened to Gail Rock, the writer of the Addie Mills books?

When people actually cared for one another. Heart-warming stories, with real feelings explored.
These shows are ALWAYS well done. Actors are so natural. Love ALL these versions, I had no idea!

The indoor scenes are videotaped and the outdoor scenes are filmed (it was expensive to take big bulky videotape cameras on location).

What happened to the horse 🐎 that Addie got at Thanksgiving ?
If kids acted like Addie in 1947 she would not have lived to adulthood. 😮😮
My parents used to have those type of drinking glasses 19:17

Gail Rock is alive and 83 years old. You can Google her to read more
Gail Rock grew up in my hometown Valley Nebraska
Lisa Lucas is an animal rights advocate. I don't believe she ever married.
Jean Simmons was such a beautiful woman.
These stories were absolutely WONDERFUL ❤️
