Hey Taylor i just wanted to say Cory is a great guy, to find people like that with experience that can do a good job and care about getting it done efficiently and done right are extremely hard to come by. (as you probably know) so give him a pat on the back for me! Also it seems like all the guys you have working with you are good guys, it'd be great to see a little more about them or hear their stories why they started in the industry and why they work with you vs the competition!
Thanks Carson! Appreciate that and trust me! I see his value! Just as much as everyone else on our team. I really have an amazing group of lads and I couldn’t be more happy
Tank it! Just finished up my second summer working as an engineering intern at an excavation company in Montreal, not too far for you guys. Small company, so "engineering" work was limited, so to say. Ended up doing a bunch of super/on-site stuff 90% of the time. Hard hours but loved the grind. These videos make me feel like I'm still on site but the itch is definitely still there. Love your videos Tay. Keep it up.
Love Cat equipment. Just a heads up on that skid loader. Those lights get super hot, burned myself on those on mine and switched them over to led so no more problems
Excavator trick for pulling heavy stuff... put the bucket down on the ground with the bucket edge digging in at an angle slightly towards the excavator, then curl out when your chain is attached at the bottom of the arm. Gives amazing leverage and grounds the front of the machine. Great for getting that first bit of movement. Combined with the dipper arm pulling towards the machine, there is a lot of power there for that few inches of movement till the bucket runs out of movement and the process needs to be reset a few inches back.
We've had septic jobs where we had to have a second excavtor onsite just for the extra pull power to help move trucks on a super wet site during mud season, one machine in back to pull the trucks to the backyard and a machine in front to pull trucks back out to the road, do what ya gotta do to get the job done
Got a bobcat 590 rubber track with bush hog buried up to rear door in mud after bush hogging cat tails, told customer too wet, but they know it all. Tried 2 hours pull it out with 4by4, so close. Came back next morning, water up to rear lights, unbelievable, battery under water, call wrecker, they arrive so I hit key to raise bush hog IT STARTS, unbelievable. Took 2 winch lines with pulleys hr later repositioning twice got it out the stink was unreal. Home today saying that was just a bad dream right.
Don't ever use a chain to pull out a stuck vehicle. We used a chain on our grader to pull out an empty dump truck that got stuck. The employees didn't want to but the boss made them do it. Anyway, the chain snapped and flew back through the windshield of the grader striking the operator. The chain tore off his jaw, caused massive facial trauma and gave him a concussion. He went through a year of surgeries and ended up having to medically retire. All because some stupid ass boss was too impatient to wait for a tow strap to be brought out. Learn from us and don't use chains to pull out vehicles. It just isn't worth it.
We run CAT and SUMITOMO excavators and a KUBOTA posi track here in Aus, we love them. Also im soo envious of the soil conditions you guys have. Back here its either solid rock or nice soft clay with massive boulders. Great vid and Tank it!!!
Thanks for the comment! We have a wide range of different materials in the ground. But yes this was a very nice material to work with I’m sure Cory could agree
you know they make plastic mats that interlock to make a road across soft stuff, when you are done you pick them up and if it was down long throw some grass seed down no mess no stuck trucks and no mud being tracked out on the road
You guys had a lengthy run off the road. First thing I do especially for septics is cut in a path and get a few loads of riprap. Would have been an awful lot of stone to eat up on this one. If it was easy everyone would do it! Nice work
Going to need to be getting some planks, that will stop all the such stupid stuff, and by-the-way,no Jill, why not , she needs to be in all of your vlogs ,please we need to see more of her , thanks y’all BigAl California.
Not that we “eat it” we always allow for a section in the price for unforeseen access issues. I wouldn’t recommend pricing a job without having any wiggle room. This is a perfect example as to why.
You need someone with another name other then Cory and Cody. I always get them confused. But I will deal with it. LOL How do you like the MTL track on the 257? I personally like the other track like what is on a 259. I like Cat equipment but I am starting to like the Takeuchi and Kubota track loaders because the way the door opens and you can run it with the door open. If you aren't careful you can break the door on Cat loaders. And as you noticed Cory had a tough time getting out if the boom wasn't down low enough.
Always seems grass is greener on the other side. But truth is, you make your own happiness. That's the key, you do not find it, you create it yourself. Stay fresh bro!
I’m an owner operator I have 2019 cx250d case excavator its a pretty decent machine. But I’m a komatsu fan. I hate cat equipment hydraulics are to slow
Nice video but the music a bit loud!. Like the septic tank truck driver did a poor job. He should have repositioned the truck to place the tank without removing the lid and then having to reseal it. Not difficult. He needed all four stabilizer jacks to support that big of a tank.
I have tried the E85 bobcat and the sv100 yanmar hopping to save some money and didn’t like ether one but if the cat is good I’m going to have to spend the extra 💰 thanks for getting back.
308 is a good excavator, it is a good size for the backyard jobs and has decent power, hydraulics are responsive, not as smooth as our Komatsu but it’s a lot quicker. Cab is comfortable and it’s pretty good on fuel. Hope this helps and it’s only my opinion.
how many of you like CAT equipment, if not, then what?
Ken White Construction use JCB in UK
Bobcat baby
Tekeuchi for me 👌
Kubota all the way!
I love Cat but we run mostly Komatsu, we own a pc 170 excavator, a d39 dozer, a d61 dozer, and just got a d65 straight blade dozer.

Thanks Carson! Appreciate that and trust me! I see his value! Just as much as everyone else on our team. I really have an amazing group of lads and I couldn’t be more happy
And ya what Cory said! Post some video dude!
I would've laid some hay or straw down on that access road. Its amazing how much it helps keep the trucks from sinking and getting stuck
hell ya ..another fine job Cory just like " tank it " keep pushing forward over come and get it done .. job well done
You got it curt

Great job keeping wheeled traffic off the contact area, never seen any scarification either of the base cut.

awesome!
I like cat excavators, but kubota skids, easy egress but skid strong and solid, new to your site, really like it

Tank it Great video guys I've had many days where nothing goes right but you done an excellent job of levelling the tank and pulling trucks out
Cory does a great job
@@KenWhiteConstruction he is a asset to your team aswell as the others

We’ve all had those days, usually on a Friday. Same ole same ole, truckers put the diff lock on after they’re stuck.
Haha yes exactly
Great team effort, really enjoyed watching your day. Thanks Stu.
Means a lot stu 👌🏻
Tank it , another awesome video
Tank it ! Another good job done !
Tank it. Awesome job you can roll straw bales out for traction Works awesome we do it all the time lot easier to clean up than the Rock

thanks Mathew!
Tank it, have a great weekend as well.
thanks!
Tank it !!! Great job!!
you should strip the topsoil first, then put down stone. in this case the stone and topsoil will mix in a make a mess. Leading to unusable topsoil...
Tank it. I would build an access road with 1 inch crushed rock filter fabric underneath
Going to need to be getting some planks, that will stop all the such stupid stuff, and by-the-way,no Jill, why not , she needs to be in all of your vlogs ,please we need to see more of her , thanks y’all BigAl California.
Tank it, truckers always getting stuck think they like to be on site lol no plastic tank?
No this one was a big boy, needed concrete
Tank it , nice job
I would have just cut the wet area on the access road out and threw some gravel in it. Then just put it back after cleaning up the gravel.
So if you guys had to bring in that stone and it wasn’t quoted into the job, would it be passed on to the customer or do you just eat it?
Not that we “eat it” we always allow for a section in the price for unforeseen access issues. I wouldn’t recommend pricing a job without having any wiggle room. This is a perfect example as to why.
Ken White Construction gotcha, thanks for the insight.
Can we make a temp stone drive?

Any complaints about the 308? Talk to me Bro.
Honestly, no, but if Cory sees this comment he should chime in as he is out there with it. It’s stayed out of the shop and on site so I have no issues
