My question is..Do you pick certain sketches before hand to go with the paper pad? Or do you just grab a handful of sketches at random and then make the paper work for those sketches by combining complimentary patterns and colors?
scrapbookdiva527 I usually have a couple sketches selected at the start of the video that I want to use. But as the paper starts to disappear, I choose sketches based on what paper sizes I have available. 🙂

It helps to use card sketches for inspiration and it only takes me a few minutes to figure out the measurements. I reuse sketches all the time, so I only have to figure out measurements for new-to-me sketches. 😊

I made spring / summer box sets to share with family and friends. The sketches you used really compliment the paper and ephemera very well ! They ALL turned out just cute as can be!
Today the nursing home in our community put out a request for cards for their residents! I was so thrilled and spent an entire day creating 30 cards. My admiration for you sky rocketed as I labored all day, barely stopping to make dinner for my husband. I wish I could have sped myself up 7 times! I don’t know how you do it week after week. You are amazing!!! I felt so connected to you as I matted all my layers and did my die cutting out of the middles of speciality paper. I’ve learned so much from you. Cathy Krebs Aw, I love that you spent the day making cards for the retirement home residents. I know they will greatly appreciate all the time and love poured into those cards. Generally I craft while kiddos are at school and hubby is at work. With everyone home right now, it’s a bit harder for me. Crafting is easy. Making videos, editing an adding voiceover is a bit challenging. Take care of yourself. It’s a bit scary right now.
My fav the green and yellow lemon card with the diagonal strip and anything using the peel offs. Any chance you will do a video on your process of choosing colours and what you do to prep before you start?

I’ve been following your channel for a few years now Kristie and this is my absolute favourite video. The bright colours, the fun designs, the great sketch choices. I like it so much that I spent a small fortune in getting the products shipped over to Australia so that I could recreate these cards. No regrets at all with the purchase though and I look forward to making my cards very soon 😁
It looks like you’ve use a chocolate brown rather than black for some of your cardstock and stamped sentiments. Am I right or is it just my screwy IPad?
Sherri Baldwin I used black cardstock and ink. The only brown ink was on the stamped pineapple. I know all of our screens colors are a bit different though. 🙂

Kristie, when you work out the measurements are they for the DSP or the mattes? these cards are so "squeezable" which peeloffs do you use, i went a bought a whole bunch of the pinstripes, but didnt realise how tiny the tiny ones would actually be x
How do you cut and place everything so perfectly?!?! I’m sure tons of practice but do you have any other tips to offer? Your stuff is sooooo adorable and perfect!
Aw, thank you so much! I think my crafty OCD helps me get everything nice and straight. It also helps to have a good, accurate trimmer. I have had some that don't cut straight.

The Sassy Crafter Thank you so much! I appreciate your support. I find it easier to adhere the card fronts to the card bases by lining them up at the top of the card. Since I don’t want to lean over the cards and get my head in the video, I turn the card upside down. That way it’s closer to me. Probably silly, but it’s what I do. Lol!

Oh, those last cards with the hexagons! I love those!! I also like the card before it with the strips of paper. It makes for such a beautiful background. And I really like the pineapple stamp you used, the one with the three parts to it, I thought it was very cute! I also really like how some sketches you use really show off the design paper and you don't even need an image as the main point of view. I loved the paper pads you used and some of the sketches I really will try out.

I will also share info about the sale here or on my social media pages. 2) I cut my matted layers 1/8” larger than the pattern paper. So a 1/16” border on each side. My Tonic trimmer has measurements for every 1/16”, so I don’t have a problem cutting the mats. 🙂
