For me the blacked out(no chrome) XL is a work truck through and through. Mine is on order at $50k it's an XL, 4x4, Supercab, 5.0 V8, 8 foot bed, 101a pkg, auto stop delete, max tow/payload pkg w/ 18" heavy duty alum wheels, trailer brake, 36 gal fuel tank, heavy duty bumper, black running boards, skid plates, work console w/ cloth bucket seats, privacy glass and electronic locker rear end. No desire for any nanny warnings or computer assist help when backing up my dual axle trailer - I just want the camera to find my hitch ball when in reverse. I was all sold on a Ram until Ford gave me what I wanted without paying for anything I didn't need. This truck better prove me right or I will go back to Mopar which it has been a long time - my last Mopar product was a 1971 GTX lol.

Does it come with auto start? I’m pretty sure this is what my company is switching to for work trucks and that auto start is a life saver in the winter.
For a 2016 For F-150 Lariat FX4 is around 48k and has like so much more in options like 360 cameras remote start on the key not a app power running board. Well I guess it make for a very expensive beater truck. I would go for a 2021 Ford F-150 XLT it's worth it
It’s only a lot cheaper with nearly no options, your better off getting the XLT sport, we have one. Ours was 55k and has a good amount of options with a 5.0

STX is sorta it's own trim, Yes it's an XL BUT it is almost it's own deal. I would say STX is in between XL and XLT.
