  • Just a quick clip so I'll have something to upload. I've had this 12V DC solar powered fan in my shed for about 2 seasons. I was not sure on its long term durability or effectiveness, but seems to be doing great. The shed stays 3-5 degrees F above ambient in general. Thanks for watching

I like my rad fans I bought 2 of them one is going to be used in my jon boat for cooling in the hotter days (I have a flex panel in the boat as well)

Awesome idea. There is something super satisfying about getting "free cooling" from the sun.

Question, can I use a 50w solar panel for the same fan?

Hi, yes it will work. My panel is only 35w but it has higher current. Be careful it is a very powerful fan. It has no covering over the intake side.

Where did you get that fan for just "10 or 12 bucks"? Everywhere I look those fans are $35 and up.

A listing on Ebay over a year ago, the price has since gone up. Still under 20 if you look around.

@@solarpoweredge That makes sense. I was hoping you could share a secret source for getting them cheap. Lol

Same thing i did in my attic ..this radiator fan is water resistant also i think ..may i know what is that little square box beside the fan you installed?

@@timothy1837 Yes, they are water resistant for sure. I have a 14 inch electric radiator fan installed in my f150. I've driven it in the rain many times and the fan is still going strong.
