The doctor in the show follows the great tradition of crazy doctors in some of the best comedies. Arrested Development had the literal doctor, 30 Rock had Spaceman, Archer had Krieger, Curb Your Enthusiasm had doctors Larry drove crazy, and now Silicon Valley had this dude.
7:26 The funniest part of Erlich's fake Chinese is that it almost sounds like he saying the right thing in chinese. I heard a semblance of chinese that sounds like "you need to listen to me"
That's the thing, they could make this show so much more interesting by writing the story so that they actually climb the corporate ladder and maintain their progress. There's a lot of antics that could be written into the show that way.
