I'm from Austria & Linzer Torte is fron the city Linz in Austria. U have done an amazing job in decorating u Torte . We use the extra dough & make long strips to create a grid or lattice. In Austria u can buy the very finely chopped nuts. U series is amazing. Great job.
I had a step great grandfather that came from Austria.
September Pies was a great idea, I’m so glad we got a Season 2❤
Pearl is blossoming into such a beauty. She should consider modeling. We have a daughter with designer genes like Eve. I’m so happy to see companies showcasing our perfectly imperfect children in their ads these days.
I love linzer cookies, so i am sure i would love the torte.
It’s from Austria 🇦🇹 It comes from Linz, Austria. Looks great! My husband is Austrian and now I need to make one too. Great Job
I love how serious Pearl is in her assessment of each pie. She’s adorable and her way of conveying the texture, taste, etc is so great!! 😃 Very helpful to know if we want to try it!
Megan as always made a beautiful bake-beautifully done ❤looks very pretty and I’m sure taste great
I wanted to reach through the screen and grab a piece of the torte. It looks absolutely delicious. I love how you planned out the top decoration pieces. It was almost too beautiful to eat. Thanks for sharing.
That blue pie plate makes me so happy every time I see it! You should have them for sale - what a fun fundraiser that could be :)
A good valentine dessert ❤
Beautiful work of art!
Hi Megan, I am loving the new pie season! As Andrew is in South Africa, why not make a traditional SA desert "pie" (we call it a tart). Peppermint Crisp Tart - sweet, smooth and super easy. You will find a plethora of recipes online! Happy pie making, with love from Calitzdorp, South Africa!
My mom makes Linzer Torte every Christmas. She uses my great great grandfather's nut grinder to make it. The recipe is from my great grandma who was from Hungary/Slovakia. Mom puts a lattice work on top of our Torte and does different jams so it looks like stained glass. One of my favorite deserts. Yours looks beautiful and delicious!
The pie is pretty!🥰🇨🇦
I am so enjoying the pie videos. The pies look amazing, Meghan is totally in her happy place which translates to a very happy, calm watching of the videos (if that makes sense), and I just love the music! ❤️💕❤️
I missed the 1st session of September pies. My mother-in-law can't wait to see every new episode this season.
I want a piece of that😭😭
You kids are so so so lucky to have such a multitalented mom😍😍
Bless you Meghan🙏
Oh have I been waiting!!!Lets do it❤❤🎉❤❤
You should use King Arthur, flour, gluten, free measure to measure to make your pies it works good for cookies and pie crusts
What a beautiful torte! I love the hearts ❤️! It seems pretty easy. Loving Season 2 so far!!
Megan your editing and music timing is simply delicious! When you popped all those edge circles onto the torte/tart…magic! I felt like I was watching a Studio Ghibli character baking their best life.😍
Wow! Thank you!!!
.. I agree. . The music and editing is spot on.
Loving this months daily pie.
Absolutely perfect for a winter gathering. Yum! And I think it would be easy to make GF.
I liked Ashers description. Makes me want to try the recipe now especially. Beautifully done Meagan, as always. With the cookies you did, you could make them into ice cream cookies for valentines day. Use strawberry ice cream for the pink with the red jam. ❤
Looks so delectable! I love pie month!
I was looking forward to September Pies so much that the last three days of August I woke thinking it was September first. And September Pies has not disappointed! My first job in high school was washing dishes for a bakery, they made linzer torte, using an industrial grade giant tin of raspberry jam. When we opened a new one, we'd slather it on fresh croissants. When fresh warm linzer torte was made, one was always sacrificed for quality control, with ice cream from the corner store. lol! Best job ever.
Oh my gosh! Yummy!
Enjoyed pie month season 1. Season 2 had begun, yay. BTW...LOVE the music!
Just to say the jazz music is fantastic,I just LOVE IT!!!
Megan you are the best cook and baker. What a treasure to the family.
That is absolutely beautiful!!
Beautiful!
The first pie we always learned as a child was Shoo Fly pie
Valentine treats!
Wow Megan. That is a little work of art!!
I could see using some holiday shapes and making this one for Christmas.
Wouldn’t that be so fun?!
Looks so yummy!
Another winner! You are such an inspiring person. Definitely motivating me to put in some time in my kitchen. That cake plate/dome combo is perfection. Thanks so much!
So you can elevate this recipe with some kirsch schnapps and lemon zest in the dough and by creating a lattice for the top. I also prefer a base that is almost solely made out of nuts. My grandmother actually taught me to make this pie well in advance and store it outside in a tin box wrapped in wax paper with a slice of fresh apple. The pie will stay good for up to 6 weeks and it's flavour just gets better the longer it sits....moister and richer. It's a Christmas favorite at our house and I usually make a few to share with friends and family.
Amazing insights! Thank you!
Missionaries must love visiting with your family ❤
That looks so good! And I can see why that doom on your cake plate is bringing you joy! It's the best!
It really is!
Good grief that's beautiful! Mmm raspberry is my favorite too!
Wow from the first September pies to now… you’re a pro!!! Every one you’ve made has had to have been so good besides pretty! And you can see it in the kids’ faces, they don’t lie!
Was almost too pretty to cut and eat 😋
Still getting used to
Mike without the beard 😊
That's beautiful!!!!
Fantastic editing. I loved watching the assembly of the cut outs on top. ❤
Oatmeal pie is delicious. A lovey alternative to pecan pie for those that can not eat nuts. ❤ Love your channel.
Having grown up in Switzerland, I don’t understand the need to make a cake / pie or torte soggy with ice cream! Linzertorte is one of my favorite desserts!
It’s not a need, but a want!
Amazing Meghan. Kind of wish that I can taste it ❤
Such a beautiful pie Megan!!
Would be so good for Christmas ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤how besutiful that pie looked and everyone said it was delicious. I enjoy watching all the pies you are making so far and wish I could try making some but things for baking in Jamaica is so expensive or hard to find. Will continue to watch and enjoy through your family's eyes and taste. God bless you all
So fun to see the missionaries! My son is on his mission in Indiana. ❤
Oh, and I love your cake stand setup!
Wow!!!! Decoration is on the next level!!! You outdid yourself!
Just wondering about your boshe mixer. I was contemplating getting one but I see your using your kitchen aide. So wondering which you like better?
Beautiful dessert and yummy
Megan, you even looked Austrian! The Linzer torte looked delicious!
Linzer Torte is my favorite🥰
beautiful! A lovely choice.
Megan, such a gorgeous torte!
That’s the fanciest tart I’ve ever seen 🥰
And served with a ton of love
❤️🔥 xx
Love this pie, perfect delicious ❤️
As a diabetic controlled only by diet, I was interested in the crust because I can eat nuts. And so I wondered if there was some thing that could be done that would be a filling that was a lower glycemic index filling. Love your videos.
I look to do sugar free variations too…. Love monk fruit…. No flour or corn either here.
Could you use sugar free jam? Or perhaps just make your own quick berry jam sweetened with stevia?
@@tammyt870 I am able to eat berries and yes stevia - but I think the berries might be ok without sweetener?
Good Good Jam might be an option
You needed this one after yesterday's trial. Looks amazing!
Well done! I was taught that the Linzer Torte is even better when it’s set a day or two. With the recipe I use it is true😊
And yes Mike, men can like the Linzer Torte as well! It’s my dad’s fav and my mom has to make one for him for his birthday every year☺️
We can vouch for that! It has gotten better in the couple days since!
Love this!!! Great job Megan!
It was so pretty.
That looked delicious!
I have to let you know you started a trend with those pie dishes. After last September pies I had to have them. I bought them, now my daughter has them and my friend has them too. I love them because they are pretty plus nice and deep. The blue ones.
Oh, I love that!
Looks delicious!! Pretty too!
beautiful!
Megan, your hair looks very pretty braided!
That looks so good ❤
It always makes me giggle to see the elders comment vs your fam because the Knorpps have been trained to be expressive. Haha! Looked like another great one. ❤
Banana caramel pie is also very nice
It looks beautiful and apparently the fam loved. I am not fan of raspberry maybe it could be a cherry torte? So happy to see you in a real kitchen doing what you love baking for your family. Thanks Megan. ❤
You could do it in any flavor jam!
Loving September 😊
Megan, I am having a party where you can come teach me to do all this! 😂
Okay!
We are loving watching "September Pies" as a family each day! This torte looked amazing. Our kids can't wait to make one. Megan do you mind sharing where your adorable dress from?
Delish 😋
How about a Bakewell Tart? Very British .
I also used to make American Sour cream Apple Pie. That is so yummy. That would go down well with your family for sure.
It IS the little things!
Beautiful pie! Not sure if it's done yet, but I'd love to see a Boston Cream pie.
Hello 👋🏼
I am from Austria 🇦🇹 and make Linzer torte often. It originated from the City Linz in upper Austria ( oberoesterreich)
Beautiful torte
I love the attachment you have on your Kitchen Aid to assist in adding ingredients. I've never seen one before. I assume I can find it on Amazon.
It’s great! I found my kitchen aid at a thrift store and it came with!
Try with hot custard....delicious.
I’m definitely going to give this one a try. I usually make Linzer torte cookies at Christmas, but it never crossed my mind to make it in a tart instead.
On a separate note, since you enjoy baking so much and have such a large family, have you considered an Ankarsrum stand mixer?
They hold a large quantity, and they are very heavy duty. I think they’re from Sweden. Anyway, I think you should reach out to the company and maybe do a collaboration with them. You would be the perfect fit to promote their product.
Looked so good ❤❤❤❤
Coconut Cream pie??? Did you all ready do that one? My Mom used to LOVE it and it reminds me of her! I love seeing that your daily pie video is up - so exciting! (Hopefully your family likes coconut!)
❤❤❤ Love This!!
If you're ever looking for a savory pie for dinner, might I suggest a SPINACH/FETA PIE? Regular lard crust or Philo dough will work. -V
What KITCHEN AID do you have? Mine doesn't have the pour guard, nor does it raise up and down. ~Ashley
I was thinking about a frittata it’s like an egg pizza pie. I would like you to be able to eat some too. I too am very carefully watching what I eat because I am 41 and pregnant and at risk for gestational diabetes. Spinach, artichoke and bacon flavor sounds yummy.
I'm allergic to hazelnut but otherwise it sounds and looks delicious. I would put Tarts with pies as well.
You could really do it with any nuts!
It looks like a giant jammy Dodger which is a biscuit here in the UK 🇬🇧💐
Such a filked cakestand is highly recommended when selling your house. Using one got us 3 immediate buyers ;-)
Beautiful- come on over to the farm❤
That crust would probably be good with other pies as well.
How about a “Bündner Nusstorte”. It’s a Wallnut cake (cake with a lid) from Graubünden, an area in the eastern part of Switzerland.
How about a crust made with biscotti cookies (the airplane cookies) unless you did first season. The tort looks so good.
I like pies, but very much missing the decorating. 🙋♀️🍁🧡
I'm not sure who loves pie more, Pearl or Mike?
FYI- Find a good bottom, turn that plastic cake cover upside down and use as a trifle dish!
