I once had the great pleasure of living with a Maine Coon. I adopted him when he was four years old and he was my best friend for 12 years. He died 21 years ago and I still miss him.
I miss my Maine Coon cat, Terry and his friend Isabella, who probably was also a Maine Coon Cat. I had him from when I was age 10 to 17. He was my best friend too.
I have a NFC, he's one of the friendliest and funniest cats I've ever had so far and I'm very glad to have him. Anytime he sees me for a split second, he starts running around the room because he's so happy lmao
I thought my kitten was an adult. He was a dumpster diving friendly cat. He adopted us and his vet said he was a kitten. I thought he was a Maine Coone but no hes a wedgie! 😺👍😂
Same here! I was told he was a Main Coon because he was so big at 26 lbs! I could tell he didn't have all the characters of a MC. I looked at cat breeds on the internet and there he was! One just like him in the snow. My vet had never heard of a Wedgie! I put him on a diet and he maintained a 21-23 pound weight.
It seems everyone and their friend wants a Maine Coon and I don't blame them. I shouldn't be surprised if, one day, they become the world's most preferred breed.
Genome studies have concluded that Maine Coon Cats are descendents of Norwegian Forest cats bred with American domestic cats. Any differences between the two so called "breeds" is a matter of genetic dilution.
My research tells me that the Norwegian Forest Cat originates from Norway and came to the USA with the Vikings on their ships when they first came to explore the East coast of our country in the 16th century.

If your cat is an indoor cat .. you don't need to be bathing them and stripping their natural oils .. unless they are a cat that gets really dirty .
One cat is never enough!
Cats very wonderful and very happy 🐈😻👌👌👌👌

Why was the kid smacking at the cat's paws? It's not the animals that need training.
Agreed! 🩷🐾🐈⬛
