The gluten in wheat flour prevents thickening. You need to use twice as much flour than corn starch when making gravy. I suspect that you needed to use twice as much flour to make a true comparison between the two doughs.
Try 1 cup of flour and 1/2 of lotion 🧴 or 1 cup of flour and 1/2 conditioner. Hope this helps anyone! I have made so many stretchy and soft cloud dough.
i think some people just don’t want to get yelled at by their mom because they used their conditioner 😀 but also i don’t even use conditioner because it makes my hair oily
I made this with flour, conditioner and a tiny bit of water, and it turned out just fine! It is in fact a bit sticky, but if you add some flour it's all good.
You have to mix the flour for around 10 mins before it turns to cloud dough try it it works just as well people assume without pouring their whole heart into it first
i made it with flour and it was sticky at first but when you add a sprinkle of flour it gets better. however it does not have the same consistency as the cloud dough, its more like proved bread dough if that makes sense. im going to try to buy some corn starch and make the original
You can use maida (refind flour) it will be so soft than cloud dough but you have to mix it very well don't leave it after mixing 2 or 3 times (use with conditioner)
You need to cover it up for two hours so just put it in a container with a lid and then after that just mix it a lot and then it will become cloud dough
I made mine with all purpose flour vegetable oil and food die and mine is very soft can you make a video trying mine but put 2 full cups of flour and half s cup of oil
Try 1 cup of flour and 1/2 of lotion 🧴 or 1 cup of flour and 1/2 conditioner. Hope this helps anyone! I have made so many stretchy and soft cloud dough.
I made it! And mine is so fluffy and beautiful I Added pink color and its looking like a real slime wow it works just add more flour and little shampoo not tht much well good luck😁!
Um no I used flour and it is not sticky at all At first it was though I kept need to get and didn’t give up and I got a really nice though and do not eat it it looks like butter and it feels like butter but just obviously less wet and I put yellow dye in it and it’s beautiful
So I tried this cause I saw a recipe on Pinterest. I’m not sure what I did wrong but mine looked more like a body butter scrub that you use in the shower than it did and I literally just use cornstarch and conditioner. Not sure where I went wrong I’m thinking that I’m better off just buying my kids the premade stuff from the dollar store. This was a mess and a waste of supplies.😢
How long ago did you make it? If it was just now, add a bit more conditioner. If it's been a few days thats normal. Cloud dough will dry out with time.
That's a great question! I haven't tried potato starch, but I am skeptical. I haven't tried potato flour, but I would absolutely recommend that! I have a hunch that potato flour and hair conditioner might work well with a 1-1 ratio. Potato flour is thicker than wheat flour. Wheat flour contains gluten, which slows the thickening process. It will take twice as much wheat flour than cornstarch. My guess is that it would take half as much potato flour as cornstarch. Try it and see the science behind the fun.
Guys I wanna say that depending on the amounts used is how the consistency will turn out and I didn’t measure anything but I will say that when doing something like this it what I did was I added a s spoon full of flour so maybe a tablespoon if your measuring to a small dabble of conditioner and mixed and added more of whatever needed from there and that’s what I recommend doing so that way you can start from too dry and then go to something more soft depending on your preference and the reason I say to do it like that is because with conditioner it will be harder to go from wet to dry rather the from dry to wet and it will kinda feel like the shampoo to cornstarch when it was dryer I also wanna mention that this is only a better option if you don’t have corn starch If you read all of this I hope you the best in your slime / cloud dough journey 💕
Also if it’s too hard try massaging it Using more conditioner And running it under warm water for only a few seconds Also this is time consuming so don’t try if you are not a patient person cause there will be quiet a bit of needing
All the cloud dough I've made (which had been a lot) smells the same a few days later as when I first make it. Maybe slightly less potent, but not bad smelling. If you're just using flour and water, it probably started to rot or just "go bad". Cloud dough will dry out before rotting.
The flour and the shampoo works out pretty well, you just need to add little amounts of shampoo at a time and at first it will be like in little clumps but once you use your hands it will become better!
My one year-old daughter swallowed the stuff. We restaurant to the Saint Jude’s hospital. When we got the news we were horrified, they said the staff had burned her lungs and she might die in three days. Please pray I don’t wanna lose her.
i used flour and its works fine. maybe you should try to mix it more. at first when i mix it yes, its gross but the more you mix it the more not gross it will be.
I used flour. I put a bit of water, lotion, and conditioner so water and lotion really helps it it feels like it was made with corn starch.
How long does it last?
But the problem is i dont have lotion xd
THANKYOU I tried it and it works! :D

I'm so glad I watched this before trying to use flour! Thank you💚
You're so welcome! I'm glad you watched it before trying flour too. You would have had a sticky mess on your hands...... literally 😂
@@esmexox That's awesome! I don't think I would have thought to use glue. Let us know how it lasted!

WELL IM NOT
my 1 year old daughter swallowed it and went to the hospital. Sadly she’s still in the st judes hospital. They
said she’s might die in 3 days....
I’m just worried about the fact some people don’t have conditioner
yeah
i think some people just don’t want to get yelled at by their mom because they used their conditioner 😀 but also i don’t even use conditioner because it makes my hair oily
If someone conditioner is almost done they would not use conditioner
Lotion or body butter works so well. That is what I did.

I used cornstarch and shampoo tho I added a little hand soap as well, prolly why it was better! It is a tiny bit more harder but still gr8
You can use maida (refind flour) it will be so soft than cloud dough but you have to mix it very well don't leave it after mixing 2 or 3 times (use with conditioner)

i made mine with corn starch and hair smoothie and its so good, its a lil hard but i enjoy it
You need to cover it up for two hours so just put it in a container with a lid and then after that just mix it a lot and then it will become cloud dough
Thanks💞
U could put the flour one in a balloon and use it as a stress ball
I made mine with all purpose flour vegetable oil and food die and mine is very soft can you make a video trying mine but put 2 full cups of flour and half s cup of oil
So does it feel like the regular one??

I tried this is was super sticky at first! But I added in some butter lotion and some honey oil from pink and it became so soft!
Omg this worked tysm!
my mom always accidentally says flavor and not scent for lip gloss
When i tried to make could dough i made it firat with cornstarch and then i made one with flour
It worked but it dried way faster
Did it dry faster with the flour or cornstarch? Mine dried after one day with cornstarch
@AnqelBliss ya the cornstarch starts to get crumbly after 2 hrs
I made it out of sampow and corn starch and it worked
Can I use conflour?
I glad too because I almost this is

Can you use Flour instead of cornstarch
I LOVE YOUR CLOUD DOGH SLIME
I hate the conditioner because my hands are all oily, can I use lotion instead?
Yes, that’s what I used!
What about baby powder and conditioner or u can do shampoo
I made it! And mine is so fluffy and beautiful I Added pink color and its looking like a real slime wow it works just add more flour and little shampoo not tht much well good luck😁!
Flour gets stickier with Conditioner so instead, use Lotion instead of Conditioner.
Better results with Flour+Lotion :)
Oh thank you for informing!
Hehe I made porridge no offence it didn’t walk but thanks
What if it starts smelling bad🧐😕
it acutally works with flour.i made a dough with hair conditioner and flour
can i even use cornflour?..
I use flour and my one was soft and like the cloud dough
I used flour and shampoo and it.....works
I used flour and it worked
Does the flour and shampoo work together as one slime?
i don't rlly use cornstarch bc we only use it for gravy, so we dont rlly buy corn starch
ur pfp brings me joy
@@gwwyyn thank you lmao
Baby powder? And conditioner seems like a better combination

If I don’t have glue activated I just use flour and water and it works but makes your hand dry
Can you do a video on how to make conditioner
@Anna Uhráková LMAOO
I use body wash instead of conditioner and it works great for me
Does it?

This recipe works so well but if u add a tad bit to much conditioner it doesn’t work that well
does baby powder work??
It worked with the flour
It's not sticking
I used flour and it worked tho
I also used shampoo🤔
hi when i made normal cloud dough i added a bit less conditioner and now when i play with starch is all over what did i do wrong?
How long ago did you make it? If it was just now, add a bit more conditioner. If it's been a few days thats normal. Cloud dough will dry out with time.

Ok thanks I’ll try cloud dough
what if I don't have cornstarch?
i used flour and its fine
I know A way to make a really good cloud dogh . You add flour salt and water or milk but i use water . Trust me
Can u make cloud dough with soap??
No I don’t think so
I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be 4-1 for the flour
doe sot matter which type of conditioner yu use
no
But i tried it with flour and it made cloud dough

U can use cornflour
I dont have cornstarch
What f you use a 2in1?
When you use flour, you have to mix it up longer and put more flour
I actually think you did this a bit wrong, I tried doing this after watching this video and got a perfect soft not sticky putty.
I have a feeling you doubled the flour so that it was a 4-1 ratio rather than a 2-1 ratio.
@@sharonjohnson2051 ohhh maybe
😵omg i love cloud doufh
Try corn flour pls
I wanted to say in the last video “DOnt use flour and shampoo I tried and it went horrible🥲” but I retried and thank you for telling me which to use

Sorry about that, I hope she is fine now

I already use flour with conditioner it works okay but it's not exactly like cloud dough
I'm worried that people don't have corn strac
i used flour and its works fine. maybe you should try to mix it more. at first when i mix it yes, its gross but the more you mix it the more not gross it will be.
I was going to try to use shampoo not conditioner but then I watched this and said heeeellll noooo
she should try adding slime and playdough together
