India in so many aspects is a cool country and inspire good vibes for me.

My area of London is well-known for having a huge South Asian community. In fact, a nearby town to me is called Southall, but it is better known for effectively being a Little India. I believe it has the highest concentration of Indians within the UK, as well as one of the biggest if not the biggest temples in London. I also work with a lot of Indians from all across the country from North to South, from the Punjab to Kerala, and I have found them to be a friendly, hard-working people. It's a linguistically and culturally diverse country. I think there are something like 23 national languages in India and the traditions, customs and food differ greatly from North to South.

Unfortunately, in the US most people's experience with Indian people is through phone and email scammers. It is horrible and they call multiple times a day claiming to be the Social security administration or some type of business. If you call them out on it they swear at you.

Thing about stereotypes is just.. stereotypes. I just approach anyone with zero preconceived notion if they are a foreigner. I mean, yeah I will joke about a stereotype maybe.. pull off stuff like "oi bruv, heard in Britain ya'll dunk yer biscuit in tea, innit?" and it's so cheesy and hilarious for an ice breaker.
Indians should be a little less sentimental, and joke back but then it's job of both parties to start getting along from there, if the first goal is to get to know each other as a person.
I can pull off a few accents well and it's hilarious. Ya got to thank English people for the English language. I would say it made the global communication much easier than it would be without it.

I've of Indian origin ...and lived in England all my life, visit India every 2-3 years . Although I agree the British ELITES need to FULLY own and show remorse and atleast say sorry for the horrors of colonialisation....I have to say, VAST MAJORITY OF BRITISH PEOPLE ARE REALLY GOOD TO BRILLIANT......If Indians met such people, you would realise that the normal everyday British people cannot be held responsible for the horrors of colonialisation .....and I'm sure, vast majority of Indians in their hearts they would not want to... But I emphasise, the British need to fully own all the things they did during colonialisation and SINCERELY say SORRY .......it does not make the British any less for doing this .....infact the British start getting acknowledgement for saying this ....as long as it is sincere

Nice 👍🏾 but I think you should have interviewed with someone who’s an older generation Brit. I think they know a great deal about the empire history and it’s involvement in India. I suspect the young generation of Brits have no clue about their history and connections with India due partial whitewashing of their history lessons in schools. I wish they follow the way Germans are taught about their history in a balanced manner at schools.
I was also a bit surprised that everyone you interviewed was quite positive about Indian community in Britain. Thought there’ll be at least a few who might say otherwise. 😬
