    I've got a 2001 Limited with the 4.7. That engine rips. I had a new one installed 4 years ago and rewired the doors and switches. It's honestly 100% operational. All the interior lights work down to the glove box and ash tray. I installed a new power seat frame and motors. Besides the interior bits, parts a cheap. Very nice ride dogg.

    I have a 2001(WJ) Laredo with 28S package (Appearance). V8, Quadratrac II. Bought it new. 83,000 now. Didn't want Limited because of troublesome ATC. This Jeep will go through anything. Love it ! Alot of people like the looks of the WJ over the other gens.

    My dad used to have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7-litre SOHC PowerTech V8 when I was a kid, and it had possibly the most comfortable seats of any car I've ever sat in. However, I use the term 'car' loosely here, since it was actually closer to a giant sofa with a big engine and four wheels attached to it.
    I remember when we picked it up back in July 2010, and from the moment 10-year-old me sat in it for the first time, I was in heaven as the seats were just oh-so-comfy, and I felt myself almost sinking into them with just how soft and comfortable they were, they were more like comfy armchairs than actual seats!

      That's the engine my GC has. Absolutely trouble free with plenty of power. Jeep's biggest mistake was discontinuing that engine back in '06, now Jeep enthusiasts are hunting for them.

  • @BigMateo24
    @BigMateo24 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    That's a highly desirable option package right there. 4.7l V8 with the heavy duty NV242 Select-trac transfer case. The T-case has a bigger chain than the 4.0l straight six NV242. They didn't make very many configured like that, most came with the NV247 Quadra-trac or Quadradrive. Of course, it's super common these day's to see people pulling out the quadradrive t-case in favor of the select-trac, it literally bolts in with almost no modifications needed. It has all the same gearing and 4wd options, just manually operated vs. automatic 4wd with the quadradrive. Well worth the asking price for that vehicle.

    My '01 GC had the same problem as the one in your video - the supports for the rear glass quit working. For a mere $25 and a couple of simple tools, however, I was able to replace them easily and now they hold the glass up just fine. If this happens to any of you, DO NOT take it to a shop or the dealer, they'll charge you an arm & a leg. If I can fix it easily at home, anybody can.

    I had an 04 GC AWD with the 4.0 and I absolutely loved it. The ONLY reason I sold it was the lack of power. It couldn’t pass ANYTHING on the highway. It was such a dog. My brother had a 01 with the 4.7 and it was a night and day difference. Would definitely buy either one just not another AWD model. We both never really had any issues with our jeeps. Owned mine for 2 years and same for him.

      Wait till you try an 04 with the 4.7l HO engine. Get a tuner for the engine and a drop in K & N replacement air filter, will put you just under 300 hp, and with the stock 3.73 gearing, it will get up and go.

    I disagree that they're higher quality than the zj , the ZJ has a nicer interior and just feels a bit more special, another great thing about the ZJ is the rear seats go completely flat and the lower bench pops out, so you get morre space... I don't know why all cars don't have this
