The QC3's definitely have better sound quality from what I've seen at the Apple store.

Speaking specifically about the Bose products, they readily admit that the QC15s (over the ear) provide better noise cancelation than the QC3 models (on ear) featured here. Bose® QuietComfort® 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones are not wireless, however they can be used without the wire connected. You can turn on the noise cancellation circuitry and drown out the sounds of the world, even without music playing. This often used to help people sleep on airplanes.

The QC3 pack the same technology into a compact, on-ear design that makes them a great travel choice. The QC15 includes 1 AAA battery, the QC3 includes a lithium ion rechargeable battery that gives up to 20 hours of operation on a single charge, and a battery charger.
After hearing them, I can say there's not much difference in the ability of both these headphones to block out the noise of the world. It's a comfort and convenience thing.

I got them but I have no Idea how to connect to my phone
These headphones need a 3.5mm audio port to plug into. Phones that do not have this port built into them can only work if there is a headphone adapter made to plug into the data port on the phone.
Is the sound as good as studio beats?
That would be a matter of opinion. Bose is widely considered the best at noise cancellation and the Beats are known for their rich bass response. Depending on what you're after, either may be the better option for you specifically.
