This is the most beautiful rap song ever created on this planet called earth. LITERALLY, THIS IS HOW WE SPEAK LIFE INTO ONE ANOTHER. IT WAS JAMMING HARD AS HELL WITHOUT CURSING OR GLORIFYING DEATH AND THE STREETS. DEEP MESSAGE.....I WISH WE ALL APPRECIATED THIS KIND OF MUSIC. 2022🔥
Was DJing a nightclub last night in San Diego.Dropped this track towards the end of my set and the dancefloor went fuckin nutts!Ahhhh man I miss this era of Hip Hop.
I believe his down fall was due his sueing the Movie peeps. His Lawyer told him to wait and see if the Movie was a hit. If it had been, people would crawl out of the woodwork and sue...THEN, he may have a case without raising a scene. He was too new and he is real good...but, he should'a taken the lawyer's advice....because he aggravated a lot of people at the top....unfortunately that's how it works....
I was homeless for a while before I went to a trade school called Job Corps. I was given chance after chance to establish myself and I disappointed my parents time after time. I eventually got to Job Corps and the day I got here my dad sent me this song. I'm just listening to it and I'm in tears...
This rap song is in the top 10 with the "realist" lyrics in a song in the last 30 years. He represented himself and his community proper and did not disappoint, while even showing love to the old-old school in the process. Very underrated song in my opinion.
such a powerful song especially for the black community as he literally rapping about the problems they have faced and still do, respect to rappin 4 tay.

I’m from Bay Area and I loved this young man he was spitting hard and he from San Francisco my cousin make him 😅n San Quentin when took a fall but came rapper Tu pac they were friends both from Bay this is my favorite song and to see a younger generation like 4Tay remix it bring me back to 70’s this a classic now at 71 great song remind me went I was young partying in college up and the Bay Area to La this was the jam in 70’s it’s amazing how his turn it around to his generation time hands up ❤❤❤
This weekend I did a lot of spring cleaning & I was listening to this CD in my jukebox CD 📀 player from Rappin 4 - Tay along with many other artists & it reminiscent of the good times up to today
Listened to this on loop back in the day. Smooth tune. Glad I came across it again after such a long time. Keep that head boppin' and that foot tappin' y'all.
I've been a rap lover my whole life and consider myself well versed when it comes to rap/hiphop in general, but this is the first time I've heard this song and I'm almost brought to tears with this track especially at the end!!!! MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT TO RAPPIN 4TAY!!!! whole new powerful respect for this cat, positivity in rap is rare, and that was beautiful.
Alot of these singles that are popular on YT now weren't as popular at the time....due to lack of air play and the trend of hip hop at the time.... By the time this track came out ... The sound was already outdated....and 4 Tay was more a regional rapper.... so there's a lot of ppl who listened to rap then who never heard these sort of songs..... This is also why I don't need this new rap(trash) cause there's so much you missed out on.... And can just go back and find it.... Cause there's so much... ......Life's crazy like that..... Dope track here.
A good example is a song like this👉👉 th-cam.com/video/xrEgKyl1b4E/w-d-xo.html 👈👈 if your not from Louisiana you may have never heard these sort of songs. There's 1000s of songs out there like this too. Same with most Genres of music.
I'm proud of you for this powerful, uplifting video and message Rappin' 4-Tay! I'll Be Around is one of my all time favorite Spinners' songs and you did it with class. Keep it real and keep more of these positive messages coming.
When i find myself stressed out , in situations of uncertainty ,depressed or just needing a pick up i throw this jam on and it helps my heal everytime.Ty 4tay. Shits real and i relate to it g
Omg I love this song so so much the classic beats from one of my moms favorite oldies...had the original I'll be around playing on her bedside as she passed away she loved music and her music lives on in my heart..I love you mommy 🙏 🎶 ❤️
OG shit man. I remember when I’d come down to LA for holidays and the kids has to stay inside while the adults were outside n this is all u hear 😂 good days man.
I hate that raps like this don't blow up, nor people that have lyrical talent use it for good, like this example above. Good people are rare though so I mean I guess, realistically speaking that isn't much expected in the first place which is why we have people rapping a bunch of nothing or toxic shit. Crazy. I don't have the gift to rhyme I'm an MMA fighter but if I had that ability id be using it to truly change the world rather than just simply relating to my fans problems. I've always thought like that. I'm 24 and it's my first time hearing anything like this this is amazing.
Oakland and San Fran showing love to each other!!! I'm from the Bay and I remember this brother doing his thing back in the day reppin SF..., along with Too Short, En Vogue, Tony, Toni, Tone, Digital Underground (featuring T-Pac), etc, repping Oakland. They were all reppin ALLLLL of the Bay. No division here ...f*ck the football teams ..., this is REAL SHIT HERE. If you're BLACK, the BAY is ALL ONE. Don't get it twisted in a white man's game. We're ONE!!! I'm from Oaktown, but I love this brother. Let's come together people. Time is too short

Yo, wassup

No worry about nothin', I'll be around
Regardless if I'm chillin' backstage or on tour
With my homie Young Fly even Al B. sure
Never hesitate to call me after I'm done
Cause homie I'm real and always true to my loved ones
Too many wakes and funerals full of tears
You say there's something on your mind, well hey, I'm all ears
Cause ain't nobody thinking about the funk that you're choosin' it
A lot of my homies stuck in the pen for life or losin' it
Call up your folks you keep thinkin' about home
Recorder keeps a peep and there's a block on the phone
And all of this is enough to make a brother's nerves bad
Reminds me of a situation that I once had
Spent that, spent this endless relentless tremendous women on my jock
And don't nobody mind their business
He say she say throwin' salt about it
And chooses to talk about you cause there's no one else to talk about
Talk about the show and the flow and all the clout
Then be real with yourself and talk about and turned it out
It's not hard to compete when his name is poppin'
A scared man can never win that's why I stay clockin'
Fools be huffin' and puffin' don't wanna see me about nothin' I'm down
And if you ever need me Fly, I'll be around
Whenever you call me, I'll be there
Whenever you call me, I'll be there
Whenever you call me, I'll be there
I'll be around
Life ain't based on peaches and cream
This new generation lost a whole lot of dreams
Future doctors, producers, and mothers
The list goes on but now we killin' our brothers
And if we killin' our brothers that means we killin' our own kind
These kids is watchin' now it goes to their mind
Rattatatat cause you got a gat
Then they want a gat you livin' like that
Moms ain't cookin' she worked the week straight
If anything she's the one deserves a hot plate
The ghetto, the ghetto ain't nothin' to dream about
Tryin' to get out now that's somethin' to think about
Fools might disagree but I'm a stay sucka free
Now I'm so black and so strong they can't fade me
Blacks are blacks worst enemy there's still no remedy
You got me for a grip do you call yourself kin of me
Jealousy, envy, I see it in your eyes
Tell me what's wrong with seeing a black man rise
I keep it funky it's pretty hard to miss it now it is not explicit
A message for the mind, and a moral for statistics
So I'm doin' what we call a roll call
Talkin' about the ones who won't rap then take a downfall
I spit the street life and then I go underground
You silly, it's called versatility and I'll be around
Whenever you call me, I'll be there
Whenever you call me, I'll be there
Whenever you call me, I'll be there
I'll be around
Things are gettin' crucial you gotta exercise your mind
Or learn about life before you're left behind
But how you gonna get it right when you're not doin' right
When you get mad all you want is a gunfight
This tension causes a gang of madness
Now you want funk that results to sadness
Sadness results to a lot of revenge
And your so called friends really ain't your friends
So how do you know who you're able to trust
If you think about the past look what happened to us
I never trust no one, I only trust myself
Or I would've been a victim like everyone else
In friendship or hardship whenever you need me
Just give me a call G I won't deceive thee
These fools be shakin' best believe they're fakin'
Just tryin' to get a grip of all the money you're makin'
This ain't race a mind is a terrible thing to waste
I drop the rap and J drops the bass
To the flow cause ain't nobody get with Fo
I'm a down young brother comin' straight outta Frisco
Droppin' a message out of love to your town
Love your brothers and sisters and I'll be around
Whenever you call me, I'll be there

I’m from Bay Area and I loved this young man he was spitting hard and he from San Francisco my cousin make him 😅n San Quentin when took a fall but came rapper Tu pac they were friends both from Bay this is my favorite song and to see a younger generation like 4Tay remix it bring me back to 70’s this a classic now at 71 great song remind me went I was young partying in college up and the Bay Area to La this was the jam in 70’s it’s amazing how his turn it around to his generation time hands up ❤❤❤
This weekend I did a lot of spring cleaning & I was listening to this CD in my jukebox CD 📀 player from Rappin 4 - Tay along with many other artists & it reminiscent of the good times up to today
when music WAS real!!
Yeah boy
Number one hit music 2020 i love this one :)
Brings back alot of memories I miss the 90s
I'm proud of you for this powerful, uplifting video and message Rappin' 4-Tay! I'll Be Around is one of my all time favorite Spinners' songs and you did it with class. Keep it real and keep more of these positive messages coming.
When i find myself stressed out , in situations of uncertainty ,depressed or just needing a pick up i throw this jam on and it helps my heal everytime.Ty 4tay. Shits real and i relate to it g
I'm glad to see close to a million views. This song is the truth.
White/Cherokee love this since it came out, early 90's. Anthem for me, every solution is the lyrics, intelligent.
Have been searching for this song for the last 10 years)
This shit hits home ... Miss music like this

Thanks brother my swiss watch still clocken
Proud to say I bought a few of 4tay albums back when I was 14 in 94. I didn’t even realize how legit 100 dude was back then though.
OG shit man. I remember when I’d come down to LA for holidays and the kids has to stay inside while the adults were outside n this is all u hear 😂 good days man.
Classic and timeless something today’s rap will never be.
That's right
I see what you're getting at but not necessarily 💯% true
Amen to that.
Omg......memory of youth, unlocked. I found the extra level of My childhood
Bro this went no.1 all the way in n.z. pop charts. You must be a youngin all good tho
This did blow up back then lol.
Gave us something to think about
Every bar on this track cannot be more real. Real life shit
Time is too short
the only division I see is between ourselves.
More Cowbell
It's sad, but you're probably right
I appreciate your comment. Its SO real
I don't like the black comment, as a Mexican I believe the Bay Area is one for all the races period, not just blacks
2021 and we still bumping
4 Tay and DJ Quik are my favorite rappers.
Song gives me chills. I remember meeting this cat at a local cd shop. Classic.
