  • Easiest way to tile your shower floor. We always use a template method when installing mosaic on our shower floor. It never fails! My goal is to show you how easy it actually is to do this stuff! Its all just a bunch of DIY tricks.
The Shower system that you see in the background is best shower system made my GURU.

I love your channel. I've been doing tile on and off for 20 years, and I pick up tips from watching your channel. You do beautiful work.

I'm at this point in our shower build and have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to lay the tile out around the drain. This was TREMENDOUSLY helpful! Thank you so much for the video.

thanks for the spacers idea at the end - i hadn't seen ANYONE talk about "This isn't flat so you're gonna have problems with the curves"

Love the template idea. You can literally see what all of your cuts will look like. That's awesome!

Good tip, but with hexagons I tend to just focus on centering around the drain. I can have a seemingly nice layout on the walls, but still end up with a sliver piece once the wall tile is placed on top.

Great video and am now a subscriber. Only question is whether the template will work on a shower floor where it is pitched 1/4" per foot, to the center drain?

I like your channle because your professional, but I enjoy watching you learn along with us at some aspects of construction.
From what I’ve seen your a master tile layer.
I think the best way to master/learn somthing is teaching/ explains to others
    Thanks for videos
That being said I feel like recntly the videos seem kind of dry and boring would be cool to show the odd interaction with a friend or homeowner etc

Make sure your walls are square if you're doing the floor(pan) first

Forget the wall cuts. Center your drain.

We have a very small gallery type bathroom. I’d like to creat it into a wet room so that cleaning the entire area easier. Also my elderly mom lives with us. Want to remove tub and add tile floors and wall with clear half wall. I’d like a long enough shelf so that Mom may sit as she bathes herself. Also a low to ground water out let to wash dog jaws. It’s that a possibility or beyond our little expertise?

Can someone let me know why it’s better to do the floor first and then the walls?
My contractor thinks it should be the other way around but I told him I would like to do floors first.

It’s best practice to install the tile where water will shed onto another tile rather than onto a seam. Also, the seam will be less visible because when you’re standing in the shower and look down, you won’t see it. It’s not a total deal breaker though if it’s waterproofed properly and the guy can make decent cuts. But it does separate the pros from the guys who just want to rush through it.
