- In this video I'll take you through a few of the houses that the Navy used when living on base. There are a few houses restored which seems to be some government effort to use them for tourism.

2:30 - is this 10 Cabot Drive? I lived here when my dad was stationed in RR from 1970-74. Thank you for documenting this neighborhood, it brings back such great memories.
Yes that is Cabot Drive!
The house where you start the video at was an Admirals house. There are twoof them there at the end of the cul-de-sac. I lived in the first house on the left as you leave the cul-de-sac. Before those two-story houses were built me and my friends played in that area. We alos played in the houses as they were being built. So sad to see it falling apart.
Cool, that confirms my knowledge on those two houses as I always new there were for high ranking officers. My dad was a security officer on base at one point and worked there so I spent a night at the car while he did his shift.
I spent hours rollerskating in the cul-de-sac there where those admirals houses were. We lived on Cabot Drive right nearby. I remember going into one of the admiral’s houses. I think I had a friend who lived there. I remember them being quite nice. I also spent hours down on the beach below those houses. Our house had a similar view as these admiral houses. I can’t believe we were so fortunate. I just took it for granted! 1974-77
Visited students homes and their parents that the most beautiful base where they were stationed was Roosy Roads in ceiba, PR.

I always wondered how Anzio Lane looks now. I had the best memories of that place when my dad was stationed there as he was in the Coast Guard.

Can we buy houses At Roosevelt roads Navy Base At Puerto Rico ? . Beacause We Are Loosing Those comforttable Houses And Buildings . They Are Not In Use .
First of all thank you for watching, unfortunately the houses are being restored for a type of Hotel offereing which has been out sourced by the government. They have been working on them for more than 5 years now with little to no progress which is normal for the PR government.
The amazing thing seems to be that the houses are hurricane resistant, aren't they?

I was stationed there 5/72-5/76 my kids were born in base . Will they permit you to go into the housing area ?
Yes it is still open and I have covered most of the roads in my videos. If you want to see something specific let me know.

Loopland as far as I know will be renting out houses as Vilas last I heard.Sammy I lived 28 Saratoga Dr.
