That was impressively detailed good Sir. A very fine review, not just of the tank bag you chose, but also the ones you did not, and why you did not. Very useful, thank you.
@@thecampingbiker791 Oh, I wouldn't be tempted to throw things at it, because if you miss then you will hit the petrol tank instead and damage the paintwork (Lima Oscar Lima). Seriously now; I would be interested to see/hear about your previous Givi one though, and why you upgraded. Kind regards.
@@onanysundrymule3144 good point and I’ll do that at some stage…still have it and rate it highly..if anything just a bit big for my Honda, although now carrying more camera gear so it’s a thought 😆
Brilliant kit, mine has now done about 15,000 mikes and I’m in Germany currently…excellent space, never ever let water in, I love it (will do a follow up video while on this trip but heads up…it’s ace!
Very in-depth. Also I appreciate the production quality of your videos. Also also, and I say this each time, I love how rugged the cb500x is looking 👍🏾
They do the same bag in a smaller size, nearly bought that one but in the end wanted bit more space....this one is sort of tall and narrow but practically I’ve found it very good and not intrusive (other than map overlap but I just use it reversed now and that works well....will be doing a review of it in use some time, cheers Andrew 👍🏻
@@thecampingbiker791 It is hard to find the right one. I know for sure. It took me some time to pick mine. I found a great deal and this actually help me to take the decision 😀
Very good in-depth video Andrew , looking forward to seeing it fully attached to the bike and your impressions. Where is it made ? Germany or Italy maybe . Regards Niall
Hi Niall, I think it’s a Swiss company but bag itself is made in China..excellent TV quality though and I’ve kept it on the bike since the video to test it and will do an update over next 2/3 weeks! So far I’m very pleased 😃
Good in depth analysis Andrew👍 it looks a good roomy bag for long travels. however, i do like how easily my sw-motech pro comes off the bike when filling up with fuel. Enduristan do make some nice kit though😉
Thanks Dwayne, been using it regular since getting and very pleased so far! In use I’ve found it very quick to fuel and the quick unlock of the two front buckles and tilting back does work in practice...I really like SW Motech and had plenty of great quality gear, cheers Andrew 👍🏻
No problem, I’ve travelled a few thousand miles with it now and like it very much, but did have to put some protection where the front buckles are, was causing some minor scratches! I’ll post a follow up review in about a month…the protection worked 👍🏻
I’ve always used that rubber non slip matting (one with holes in) on previous bikes and that seems to avoid any problem, but I’m not too concerned about slight scuffs and scratches on this bike as I guess it’s going to get a bit worn anyhow. So far I have used the matting with this bag so it should be fine but after long term test will give feedback 👍🏻
@@joopkerlen8368 I’ll be publishing my first impressions this evening after leaving it on the bike since getting it....obviously a longer term test will come when I start camping and travelling again...looking good though 😉 cheers, Andrew
Hi Andrew Very good vid on this tank bag for someone thinking of getting one. Glad you did not get magnetic type as they can scratch your tank paintwork. Thanks for your email address will be in touch and stay safe BeingMe Micky
Thanks Micky....yes, in the end I’m surprisingly glad I ended up with non magnetic as this is rock solid on bike and so easy to get on and off! Catch up soon, regards Andrew

Thanks for the useful and practical approach. ✌
Thanks for that 👍🏻
Good size, quality and design. Ordered for crf300l may be a bit big but it's the bag I want and I only do very light greenlaning.
Excellent choice, it’s been used in all weather conditions over last year and holding up very well…robust and 100% waterproof

Crazy detailed review 😀👍 Are you still happy with it?
Very much so, it’s been used extensively winter and summer with not one drop of water getting in.. excellent bit of kit 👍🏻
Awesome, thanks 👍
I was wondering, because of the direct contact with the tank, the tank could be damaged??? ( caused by sand e.g.)
