I once helped out an Ice when I was questing in Azteca, me being a balance it was basically me hyping her up for like 8 rounds just for her to cast Snow Angel. It took me like 3 boss fights to convince her to switch to ice giant then I basically completed the majority of the world solo and I was like "this would have taken another 20 minutes if that ice was here." every single dungeon.
I swear that the Devs have a personal vendetta against Ice... They nerfed the school into the ground during the major spell audit a couple years ago due to complaints that Abominable Weaver was too OP in PVP. As a side effect of this audit, our rank 7 and rank 8 Aoes (Frost Giant and Snow Angel) somehow got even WEAKER, when they were already bad to begin with. The whole school's identity as the tank has been made irrelevant due to pierce and the fact that other "tanky" schools (Life, Balance, and Death) have wayyyyyyy more utility. I feel like there should be a stat in the game that directly counters pierce. We have defense for damage and crit block for crit rating but nothing for pierce, which in my opinion is pretty stupid. The whole school just needs a complete overhaul. It's really sad because I really like the overall aesthetic of the school, and I know a lot of other people do too.
Myth is my favourite solo school by far. So efficient, high health, loads of ways around cheats, great spells. Only issue is it cant heal the best, but you kill everything so fast and you boost against the hardest schools to face in PVE so it dosent matter really.

As someone who only recently made a balance as their 7th and final wizard , not having to be concerned with dual shields tri shields is so nice. Even id youre facing a balance enemy with elemental shield, upgraded hydra turns that into a triple 35 shield for you

When I was like 5 I was a hybrid of a fire and storm main. Their spells were just the most appealing to my 5 year old brain and I just have an odd obsession with fire…and storms ironically being that I’m from Florida🤣 I used to love when it stormed, I know I’m weird. Anyway, that and I also loved the fire tiger pet thing, cuz I thought it was cool to have it as a pet and it’s a spell card
I mean life max level stats is kinda stacked. Life can be super good, and hit harder aoes than Death. But yea Death can be a more valuable support that’s true and it kinda sucks. I think Life’s support ability in late game should be buffed. Also solo Life is crazy good.
yup, until cabalist and up gear, Life has second highest damage gear in the game. Forest Lord is slightly behind Storm Lord and Orthrus, and rat spin is only weaker to Tempest. Pretty dumb good, considering its also a 90% accuracy school so better access to power pips early, more health and then all of lifes utility on top. Its crazy.
Life really is a sleeper build. Its only draw back is no 4 pip aoe in the early game, low spell damage, and Gnomes needs a buff/rework. Gear damage, pip, accuracy, Health are all pretty much 1st or 2nd highest in the game (and boosts on balance +death +storm).
@@Eric007 Exactly, but even the spell damage ain't bad considering you use Forest Lord and Rat Spin like 90% of the time anyways. As long as you fix the rat spin issue, it's smooth sailing from there.
Man I make a life wiz and my death heals better, I try to play storm and get killed and my death has to revive me, I wanna use fire but my death dragon looks better, I wanna summon minions with myth but my death minion is cooler, I wanna play tank with ice but my death tanks better , I give my death resist but they say “I don’t need this just give me dmg and pierce” I give them the best gear and they’re not happy they say “pull out the credit card” I say no and they bad juju me and force it out of me, I spend 200k crowns to get them crown gear and they say “ this gear ugly af, stitch it “ I’m out of crowns now and they use lulu on me and suck the happiness out of me, I grind bosses for better looking gear and then they aren’t happy still and say “make a second balance account to buff me more”…
my answer to this is stop caring and literally just pick the one that seems cool, the bad parts of each school rlly aint gonna matter that much, enjoy the aeshetics of every school

Okay to put life at D is actually the hottest take I’ve ever seen bro, that shit is easy A. Honestly (behind death obviously) it’s the second best imo for solo PVE. It hits very hard, you can get an AOE with a life pet from Kiosk which can also give a blade, it heals very well obviously, and I’ve had absolutely zero issues playing through the game on my life wizard. Definitely my second easiest solo run behind Death
as someone with 160 fire, death, and storm, i like storm the best. i don't even need feints soloing. and this is coming from someone who mained fire for years until recently lol
I'll never forget what the 7 pip aoe changes did to ice. Crow, orthorus, nova and forest lord all got good buffs, and the only school that got nerfed was ice. My ice had 50 damage and like 30 resist questing through Azteca at the time, and I almost lost all hope
Also another nitpick of death is that death does not have a 4 pip AOE spell. That goes for life as well so death and life don’t have 4 pip AOEs you can naturally train from your school teacher. Fire as meteor, myth has humongofrog, balance has sandstorm and so on. The only 4 pip AOEs are the lore spell ones that life and death can get but trying to get any of those spells is already a headache plus on top of that there locked behind an arch mastery pip, which you also don’t start naturally getting until your level 50
same people actually liked my Ice lol and soloed I dont remember it being tough. Skill issue I think. I had a tougher time with my Balance solo a few years ago
My first wizard was Ice and I had fun on it till they nerf it but if I had to say witch school to start first I say storm low health low resist need time to set up hard to solo so if you choose to make a storm wizard in one your 6 slots get it out the way first it's the hardest school to quest on now when it get Polaris it get a little easy to quest solo sometimes. Myth is so so now but before they maid Orthrus a AOE I would say myth is the worst school the only too aoe spells you get at the start was frog and earthquake you would had to wait till you get to dark moor to get your third AOE spell then if you choose to use your Mirage spell as a AOE you have to wait when you get to a point in your main quest to go get it as your forth AOE spell.

Zer I soloed all of khrys on ice with lvl 56 winter tusk crafted gear including the final boss and all the cheating bosses. All you need is a bit of patience. It's no where near F in hands of a patient player..... but ye I agree it was not fun
Death/Ice main here. Ice can be great if you play it well. I soloed Azteca and only died like once and it was probably to belloq or something. (Compared to my balance which was the classic 50 hour Azteca) But I am not max so idk about the stat stuff Also funnily enough the only wiz I’ve struggled on is balance. It’s just so weak especially pre-Polaris. It took so long to beat Azteca with it, I gave up and leveled my ice instead.

I have level 140 Fire, Life and Storm on one account, and a level 140 Death and max level Balance on the other. That way I never have to solo quest. Storm is my least favorite, because, as you said, he dies easily. Balance is actually my favorite, because of the flexibility, and how he can buff my other characters.
I love balance but got burntout on it at lvl 120. Rn just using it to help my fire atm I tried life and Ice up to lvl 40 but deleted them since I felt my balance can do both they're jobs with ease. Im now using fire as my second wizard which is basically Storm as far as purpose but fire has utility which comes in handy more than I thought
my first wiz was balance and it's been stuck at level 100 for years too and now i have max fire storm and death lol. might get around to trying questing again on my balance lol
"Death is the best Solo school" Me: A Myth player who can counter those cheating bosses that love to spam shields and weaknesses In Arc 4 cause Myth has tools to counter both of those cheats while other schools have to suffer. Also to note, Myth now has Higher Crit than fire and higher crit = higher damage multiplier and chances of landing the crit ofc. Edit: I don't need to use My Side deck OR a Mastery in the context of those Solo bosses in Lemuria and Novus.
Treasure cards can handle that much more consistently than main deck spells. Cleanse Charm and Pierce cost zero pips and are extremely cheap to acquire as treasure cards. In many situations, your wand hit can make a great substitute for pierce as well. And if you happen to need a more expensive spell, like Shatter, you can use myth mastery.
Imagine needing your side deck and a mastery, Playing as a Myth, that's literally optional since what you need is already built into your spells if you choose the right spellement path. @@FieryMeltman
@@arclight480 Mastery is optional as a death as well. You only need myth mastery if you want to use something like shatter or earthquake while also being the main DPS. If you're just a support, then you can use those spells without mastery and it will be fine. In many cases, those spells are overkill anyway. A wand hit or pierce TC will do the job just fine. PvE as a Death wizard has unmatched convenience, whether soloing or in a team. You almost never need health wisps. Your drains can bypass many attack-triggered cheats. You have some of the best support spells in the game. You have well-balanced stats with good health, resist, and damage. In the early game, your accuracy is great. And all of that is just off the top of my head. Drain spells alone are already enough to make Death's solo value skyrocket ahead of any other school. If you're fighting a difficult cheating boss, any party worth their salt is going to bring the relevant spells and treasure cards anyways, so the only schools that matter are your hitter and possibly your support/healer. Right now only two notable downsides for death PvE come to mind: 1. There are a lot of death bosses, though it's less of a problem for death than it would be for other schools since you have drains. 2. Since you're not an optimal hitter, you may get unlucky if you decide to use team up, and get paired with other supports. But even then you can just leave, or you can set up a proper party beforehand in Discord.
Remember that the Context here is strictly soloing, Team up is irrelevant in this debate, I have every School maxed, even my Death is decked out with the best gear and 216 damage, but when it comes to doing solo questing especially against those cheating bosses, Myth is way easier to use.@@FieryMeltman

I chose fire back in 2011 and I still play fire because I like fire element and it makes me feel in character and that's all I care about

Ice being so bad is exactly why its my favorite school. Much more of a challenge compared to death which is a literal snooze fest the entire game.

4:39 those are bad stats for a mid-lvl ice , you usually get 70+ dmg and 50+ uni res for lvl 58-90

Storm school was my first, and is still my favorite, though I have made a death school wizard since. Massive damage feels so good.

I have level 140 Fire, Life and Storm on one account, and a level 140 Death and max level Balance on the other. That way I never have to solo quest. Storm is my least favorite, because, as you said, he dies easily. Balance is actually my favorite, because of the flexibility, and how he can buff my other characters.

I tried life and Ice up to lvl 40 but deleted them since I felt my balance can do both they're jobs with ease.
Im now using fire as my second wizard which is basically Storm as far as purpose but fire has utility which comes in handy more than I thought
my first wiz was balance and it's been stuck at level 100 for years too and now i have max fire storm and death lol. might get around to trying questing again on my balance lol
never understood deleting wizards for the sake of deleting them, seems like wasted time when you have like 6 open slots to leave them on.

Me: A Myth player who can counter those cheating bosses that love to spam shields and weaknesses In Arc 4 cause Myth has tools to counter both of those cheats while other schools have to suffer.
Also to note, Myth now has Higher Crit than fire and higher crit = higher damage multiplier and chances of landing the crit ofc.
Edit: I don't need to use My Side deck OR a Mastery in the context of those Solo bosses in Lemuria and Novus.
Treasure cards can handle that much more consistently than main deck spells. Cleanse Charm and Pierce cost zero pips and are extremely cheap to acquire as treasure cards. In many situations, your wand hit can make a great substitute for pierce as well. And if you happen to need a more expensive spell, like Shatter, you can use myth mastery.
Imagine needing your side deck and a mastery, Playing as a Myth, that's literally optional since what you need is already built into your spells if you choose the right spellement path. @@FieryMeltman
@@arclight480 Mastery is optional as a death as well. You only need myth mastery if you want to use something like shatter or earthquake while also being the main DPS. If you're just a support, then you can use those spells without mastery and it will be fine. In many cases, those spells are overkill anyway. A wand hit or pierce TC will do the job just fine.
PvE as a Death wizard has unmatched convenience, whether soloing or in a team. You almost never need health wisps. Your drains can bypass many attack-triggered cheats. You have some of the best support spells in the game. You have well-balanced stats with good health, resist, and damage. In the early game, your accuracy is great. And all of that is just off the top of my head. Drain spells alone are already enough to make Death's solo value skyrocket ahead of any other school.
If you're fighting a difficult cheating boss, any party worth their salt is going to bring the relevant spells and treasure cards anyways, so the only schools that matter are your hitter and possibly your support/healer.
Right now only two notable downsides for death PvE come to mind:
1. There are a lot of death bosses, though it's less of a problem for death than it would be for other schools since you have drains.
2. Since you're not an optimal hitter, you may get unlucky if you decide to use team up, and get paired with other supports. But even then you can just leave, or you can set up a proper party beforehand in Discord.
Remember that the Context here is strictly soloing, Team up is irrelevant in this debate, I have every School maxed, even my Death is decked out with the best gear and 216 damage, but when it comes to doing solo questing especially against those cheating bosses, Myth is way easier to use.@@FieryMeltman

Myth is not the worst dont listen to this bloke. Myth is 3rd best behind storm and death, could also even be considered second best. Worst is Ice, then life, then balance, then fire.
