This deck sparks joy. Leave it to Greg Orange to bring a control deck. Thanks for showcasing it. You were on the money, Esper mirror in the finals. Thanks for the content!
Interestingly, in his postgame comments after playing against this deck in the semifinal, Depraz made the same assessment you did-that is, not a lot of card advantage here other than Up the Beanstalk.
@@ArneHuschenbethYT ok, I assumed that.. could be better than them leyling your whale tho.. I’m sure it’s all relative to the situation.. thanks for posting the video!! I appreciate the reply too
Thanks for demonstrating this deck. I agree that it is weaker than esper control. Also, lay down arms isn’t convincing to me against the targets that really matter (sheoldred) but it is an inventive deck and I am hopeful that there will be an even better bant list in the near future.
Thoughts on Mono White 8Field (or another color) in Standard right now? Esper Midrange and Esper Legends are both on 1 basic right now, and I'd expect to see a ton of them given that both 1st and 2nd place in Worlds were Esper. Esper Control seems to be on 2 basics, which makes that a great matchup. Mono White has a ton of tools for Mono Red Aggro (Elspeth's Smite, Ossification, Lay Down Arms, Emperor, March, etc.), so that should be a good matchup. The only seemingly tricky common matchup is Domain, but I think Wedding Announcement/Virtue of Loyalty spam should help a lot in that matchup, and you can always board in 4x Destroy Evil (or maybe go a Superfriends + 4x Farewell route?). (Bant Control is also a bad matchup given the number of basics, but I think Esper has been and still will be much more common)
Funny how this was the best winrate deck. Shows how the skills of the pilot.I tried most of the new decks from world's and it seems like they don't work well with arena's metagame. This one on the other hand... got me through diamond hell while the rest couldn't. Players on arena are playing way more planes walkers and this deck doesn't deal with them particularly well once resolved. None of the world's decks seem to do. Agreed on the card advantage bit. I found myself mulliganing for beanstalks and duresses on them were devastating. (can't bring myself to play esper for the 1000th time as good as it might be. Just me? Ok. )
I'm quiet surprised there's no Simic manland in this deck. This would be a great solution to planeswalker and another lategame tool to finish the opponent. I guess the reason is there's already way to mutch tapland in the deck and that's why I'll probably cut one of them for the manland
It's slower than the manland to deal with a planeswalker and aniway the same manland does give power to your mirrex token. I still think it deserves a slot@@serv4ntPGR

At 20:46 why not leyline the walker? Vs the token?
Because that would make my opponent's Leyline Binding be very good as they can "free" up a Wandering Emperor.

I want to play some number of Silver Scrutiny in this list. Getting to draw four for 5 seems good.
Keep up the good work.
The thing about control mirrors is that you can skip 15 minutes of the video and the game has not changed.

56% mythic is a new one how does that work
It is time to ban the unfair white cards from the format: Raffine, wedding announcements, emperor, Sunfall, farewell. At least 2-3 have to go!
Farewell is really not THE problem card in white.
so 50 minutes on one best of 3. Jesus christ
