    GERMAN RECORDER ARE ONLY GOOD IF YOUR PLAYING
    ONLY C MAJOR SCALE!!!!
    If you need to play sharps & flats...ask for a miracle coz it's gonna be out of tune (even if you follow religiously the note chart that comes with it!!!)
    BAROQUE ARE EASIER IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WHOLE, SHARP & FLATS

      German has a wider bore and therefore wider sound... as a musician i think that's the factor in its favor

      Not true! Both Systems has different pitches. That's why it sounds out of tune. German System is A=440 Hz and Baroque System is A=442 Hz. Both Systems has different music styles you can play in. German System is more for modern music and the Baroque System is more for Classical (Older Style) Music. That's the only difference. Both Systems are full chromatic. But you can get recorders in german system in A=442 Hz to.
