  • The late Ed Mutem gave this epic AA lead share where it all began, in Akron OH on June 10, 2003 at AA Founder's Day.
This talk is widely regarded among AA speaker tape fanatics as the single greatest AA talk ever given! That is quite a distinction considering there are well over 10000 AA speakers available to listen to online.
Do you agree with this? If you think you have ever heard a better talk than this one... PLEASE SHARE A LINK TO THAT TALK WITH US! (Yes we want to hear it too!!)
    God bless

My wife and I heard Ed give his talk about this time at the Tri-county conference in Troy MI. He was one of the best speakers, and an inspiration. RIP Ed, it was a highlight meeting you.

What a powerful story! This is one of the best open talks I've ever heard in my life. I thank God for the Twelve Step Program and the fellowship of AA that saved my life and many others.

God Bless the AA program and them Drunks that show us the way. Truly amazing way of life and saving millions. So if your drinking yourself to death, please make the call for help. Them 12 steps change everything in life for them that do them. Yes it's a life or death thing for most drunks so don't drink yourself to death, give it a try and don't give up, finish them 12 steps. It's a life game changer to a new life. Still works for drunks around the world today. :)
It Works so well, now we have 12 step programs for every thing, lol
Thanks for sharing, nice speaker meeting.

    Wow !
What a coincidence ! I have 32 years clean ! Praise the Lord for this freedom . He is so good all of the time ! Grateful for his grace , his living kindness , His word and His Holy Spirit who leads me into all truth ! When Jesus died he sent his Holy Spirit to guide us and called it our helper and counselor , so grateful for this freedom I have and willingness to follow Jesus who transformed by his word ! He told me he heals all of my diseases and shod never lies . He’s incapable of telling a lie ! Amen keep coming back .

I am not suprised by this top ten thing but I am angry at it. I wonder whose top ten it actually is....? I wonder what odds you would get on 2 people choosing the same top ten? I'm certain that the odds are long for it. Slogans state, don't judge others but stick with the winners. Judgement is required for this role to be fulfilled in an acceptable manner. Don't drink no matter what... WHAT!!! If I could do this then I wouldn't be an alcoholic. If you can stop on your own power... You are not a real alcoholic and don't need to be sharing today about the job etc...I will die drunk if I don't have a spiritual awakening from doing the steps. I am one of those who are not able to stop and there are only 3 things that can stop me when I am on a 3,4, 5 day roll and they're death, arrest or passing out. Thanks for the art of passing out. By the way, all the slogans aren't in the big book and so, as much use as a geographical.

You caught me. It's my top 10, no one else's. I have discussed my top 10 with some of my friends who also love AA speakers but you are right, there was no vote. These are the talks I think are best. Do you have an AA talk you think is missing? Please pass it along I would love to hear It! I'm available at SpiritualAwakening @ Gmail .com
