Yep, same for me. As silly me bought the Chinese version from Ali, I only could pair to the Mi Fitness app setting the region to China. But all is working fine now.

Hey, thanks for the help! I had to randomly click around to figure out the region. It seems like it might have something to do with where the device was imported from, even though it said "Made in China."

your video is a life-saver, I was about to throw the watch away already.. After changing the region to China, it works!! the only problem is that it is now in Chinese and I can figure out how to change the language to Italian or at least to English. Can you help?
Sure. The default watch face is in Chinese. Just change the watch face to something else. Try that.

how do we know witch region is our mi band 8..?! I bought mine from mistore Greece .
My samsung mobile had my old Smart Band 6 listed on Bluetooth connected devices. When I try to search for Mi Band 8 at Bluetooth I did not find it on the list of new devices to add. on Mi Fitness App I find the Smart Band 8 and is connected sync there only.. i did restart phone did reset the Mi Band and still do not find at Bluetooth search the Mi band 8 . What to do to fix it..?!

why didn't you continue? the last blue window "allow the app to run in the background..." is where I got stuck.
After i connect it, it sets me the language on chinese automatically, even if i set english in the beginning..

It's a chip that allows you to pay with your watch same as with your card.

How can you add a debit card to the smart watch
After sinc, how to change the language ? The language automaticly to Chinese even i choose a English in first time.
I follow thi video but said update the app first, there not available app updates.
I am not able to pair and the app instructions says only if phone region is set to china and app region is set to china, the pairing works. In my phone location settings, i dont have china country itself. Any idea how to resolve this

Turn off your Bluetooth, and remove all devices that you have connected in the Bluetooth list. Reset your phone, turn on the Bluetooth, and try again to connect.

What if my region isn't on it?
Region is not relevent at all. This is for them to know from where are ppl buying the product. Just use a region where english is the first laguage if you want it in english.
