the lady in red blouse and black jacket nailed it,....'if you invest in knowledge based economy, invest in ICT and innovation, you grow industries and improve competitiveness of a country at a global scale'..this is why i am always against people who insist on graduates to do business and abandon their degree...a country can not grow on enterprise alone...if we invest in knowledge, ensure those graduates in ict, computer science, engineering, medicine get proper opportunities to grow their knowledge and skills,a country moves forward at a large scale, the knowledge and skills actually what grows tech industries and manufacturing sector hence business comes in automatically..the stories of selling clothes, starting MPESA shops or kununua ploti na kujenga will never grow a nation.

The best way to change things in a nation is through mass peaceful protest. When a million people show up at the capital building at the same time, there is nothing they can do to control it. It's very powerful. The people are the real power. Unfortunately governments work hard to suppress that kind of organization, and attack anyone who grows in prominence to send a signal to shut up and stay down. But if you can organize a mass movement of peaceful protest, that's the best way to gain global attention and force things to change. In order to do that, you'd need clearly defined goals and have everyone on the same page, focused on the same fight and same goal.

The CEO Tanui must work extra hard. His, is typical Kenya's usual tribal appointment. He looks weak and clueless. Evidently learning on the job.
I have traversed South Korea and I'm sure Konza needs a strong personality to achieve the founder's dreams. Tanui is strategically there to guard specific interests of gluttonous politicians who view the project as silent catchment for corruption.

The Kenyan delegation look like they are on vacation. No writing materials, just attending. And kuongea, they are the best, most eloquent speakers in all of Africa, but action, zilch, nada, zero, nil, nothing! This is like comparing a Lamborghini with a nduthi. If the little we got we cannot even bring to a world class status, how’s a brand new tech city going to happen??? This is another pocket money making project for the corrupt fat cats. Those who were on the trip were not even technocrats but mere "politicians" who were on a joyride as is customary to them. We are used to such trips by politicians as they did recently during the world cup in Russia and the Olympics in Rio just to fleece the taxpayers' money of the long suffering Kenyan people. If they do it through Kenyan companies, corruption and mismanagement of funds is inevitable hence why the project is stalling. 6 years later, only one building stands solo in the middle of nowhere. Quiet a shame really.

Problem with Kenya is cuddling implementation of projects which ends up becoming incompetent and as a results money gets looted and projects are not done to the best of our ability because everyone wants a share of the funds put in place. Uhuru Kenyatta failed us on this project. We need stronger leaders and resilient governments employees who have a passion to fulfill so such kind of projects like Konza can survive to reality. Kibaki if you were young we would have voted you another 5 years or more to complete this wonderful project you started unfortunately we have a danda heads in suits running the government hata nashidwa waliacha akiri huko South Korea ama its coz these leaders live in comfy homes and assumes that everyone else is a fool.
