Interesting that the factory square tips have built in resonators. Has anyone experimented with covering the resonator holes with high temp aluminum tape?
@@jp24c8 It wasn’t the performance exhaust. From what we’ve seen the performance exhaust doesn’t sound much different from the base exhaust, not enough to call it a ‘ performance exhaust’ anyway. The tip increase the sound output quite significantly on both systems.

I did, I installed a 1.25 wide sheet metal strip to cover the resonator holes. Wow, slightly louder but sharper sound.
@@wazzman8760 interesting. I would like to know exactly how you did it so I can try this myself.
@@wazzman8760do you have a picture or video of what you used?

1 1/4” wide by 8 7/8” long strip of sheet metal. Curve to snap into muffler tip to cover resonator holes
@@wazzman8760what gauge metal did you use?
Cool idea. You’d sell a lot more if you fab’ed them to clamp on. Most DIY’ers don’t have a welder, but could easily cut and clamp
There’s very little room for clamping unfortunately.
The hard part here in California is to find someone to weild these tips. Most muffler shops don't want to remove rear bumper
Road trip. We’ve done at least 30
So it's just the tips only that gives that amazing sound......no headers no high flow cat? How much for the labor
Did that car in the demo have the performance exhaust option? How does it sound on a 1LT w/o the performance exhaust package?

It's cars that are modded to look like that one when I am reminded why I never bought a C8 and kept buying Porsche's.
Don’t buy one then clown
Haha no shit
great job on the mods to that C8
I love the tips.
How's the steady state cruise and V4 tone affected? Any notable drone from losing the resonator tips?
I don’t know. I would never run one in V4 if you can help it. The motors eat themselves. Do some research. Don’t do it.
This looks great. Have you checked it with a decibel meter?
We have a short video on our site a customer did for us
I do like the exhaust tips. Not a fan of the white letters on the tires and all the carbon accents. Less is more in my opinion.
I like a clean look too,
