Yung sinasabi nila na hindi daw PangTaxi, sa Pinas lang, pero Taxi at uber din naman sa ibang bansa like Thailand and US. Mercedes nga ginagawang taxi, japanese sedan pa kaya nila. Ano feeling nila, Ferrari or Rolls Royce auto nila 🤦🏼♂️. Sa ibang bansa kasi maganda mga kalsada, sa Pinas hindi uubra ang wishbone suspension nila at replacement engines na mahina sa overheat, pagdating sa reliability at durability, lalo na sa mga pangit na kalsada ng pinas at harsh weather, sobrang init at baha, tapos 24 hours tumatakbo ang auto, palit driver lang (AM/PM shift). Malulugi lang ang taxi operators sa repair at masisira ang reputation ng company. Kahit beteranong mekaniko, the real car experts, alam nila iba ang toyota.
Noong sumakay ako ng taxi pa puntang pier dito samin taxi na vios bagong bago pa 2021 model noong tinanong ko ang driver ilang kilometers na ODO niya pinasilip niya sakin nasa 167,000 km na. Sabi niya ang secreto niya maintenance lang ng tubig at hangin ng gulong pati oil before siya lalabas ng bahay araw2 na check niya muna.
Proud user of both Gen 2 (2008) and 3 (2023) models. They say pang Taxi ang Vios. I say, we're just practical. Sa mga di super yaman na gusto magka car and sakto lang ang budget for maintenance, I can say Vios is not going to fail you when it comes to practicality, cheap and easy to find parts, easy maintenance, and generic car that most, if not all, mechanics can work on.
2018 (superman d-vvti 1.5G) Vios owner here. 127k mileage with no issues. I do my own maintenance and keep up with fluid change. This car is very reliable, hindi sya boring..nasa driving style mo lang ang pagiging boring 😂. Perfomance wise it is very good, Malakas ang engine, kayang kaya sumibat hangang 180kph. Baguio? Easy..kahit lima pa+baggage. Reason why I went for 1.5 instead of the 1.3 is the torque (hatak power). Never regretted buying this car 😊

Our first sedan is mirage g4 2018(manual) and now 2023 vios xle cvt running @14k odo, superb napaka smooth gamitin kapag nasa loob ka same feeling with our fortuner hindi mo feel yung rumble noise ng kalsada.walang tagtag compare sa mirage.
