- Flute Sisters:
Debopriya and Suchismita are world’s most unique pair of flautist sisters for whom flute is life.
Musical sojourn of the Flute Sisters began early on, in their natural settings, with hugely gifted parents, Prof. Robin Chatterjee & Mrs. Krishna Chatterjee; both vocalists & composers from Allahabad. Their quest for the depth & richness of Hindustani classical music, especially the flute or ‘Bansuri’ brought them to the feet of Guru the greatest living exponent of Maihar Senia Gharana, Padmavibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Their mother was amongst the first group of the Maharishi Gandharva Veda musicians who did research in Gandharva Veda at MERU during 1995 under the guidance of Maharishi and their master Hariprasad Chaurasia. Both sisters had moments to share with Maharishi along with their mother and the great maestro Hariprasad ji during their student days then.
Accompanying them on Tabla is Pandit Sandip Bhattacharya
Both the sisters have been provided a full glass of nectar by the Almighty in the form of flute - playing. It is the real emblem of celestial pleasure.

Flute playing requires synchronization among finger movement, breathing and mind and then it is to be synchronized with taal.
But after doing all this they are synchronizing among themselves and coming up with awesome composition. Incredible 👌🙏

For roughly 18 months I began _every_ work day listening to this sublime collaboration.
The piece literally _energized_ my mind and 'tuned' it for the concentration, focus, and nimbleness that was needed for each day's data analysis, requirements preparation, and operational responsibilities.
Try it for a week!
_Important:_ In a busy, open workplace I listened with Bose noise cancelling earbuds plugged into my Google Pixel.
The noise cancellation was _crucial_ to feeling like I was deep inside an intimate recital venue.
Raga being played on flute by both the accompanists is fascinating & unique . Playing on flute is most difficult but sweetest of all instruments .
I came across this vid by chance and listening to this Raag, flute and excellence of all the musicians...was awesome. I felt peaceful & still at the same time! Such mastery! Lord Krishna would have enjoyed surely!Thank u😊

Both flute players are awesome but somehow I find the tabla player more joyous and happy, enjoying his playing and feeling deep coordination instead of only playing like a robot. You are amazing sir...................

r u a flute player or even tried the flute.... then you'll know that you cant smile or move your body too much for fear of losing your embouchure. these women are amazing......

@@geraldseekola2253 Bro no body is expecting or asking them to dance while playing flute but in between the gaps they should seem to be joyful.. Definitely when you are alone you can go deeper with this instrument but during presentation in front of such huge public, their gesture and positive attitude is needed very much….By the way I m not a professional flautist but have been practising for more than 5 years… G
