Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa Gran Canaria, an amazing place and I wanted to share the experience

- This is a great place, the gardens are amazing, they have the biggest private tropical garden on Gran Canaria, it also has a ancient burial site, a kiddie prison and a whole lot more, definitely worth a visit.

Thank you, the sun lounger thing, people do put their towels down in the morning (and not just us Germans 🤣🤣) there is a lot more space at the "kiddy " pool and more sun as well, because you don't have that huge cliff. I am sure you'll have a super time. And the cable ties also come in handy for other situations 😂

I can't tell you how excited I am to finally find a place I'm going to book. I have been hunting for months for somewhere to go with my 9 year old son which is not a cheesy all-inclusive! I have never booked one of those and after seeing this hotel, I am relieved I don't have to start now. This ticks every box..something for mum, something for son and somewhere I can feel safe travelling alone with him. Mogan looks perfect - little bars, restaurants, a beach and there looks to be a sense of authenticity about the place, which is what travel is about for me. I did notice in another review that there's bubbly and Bloody Mary's for breakfast...that was the clincher 😂

And you might not be a keen gardener but you'll appreciate the surroundings there. @@jochen.allardice-grein Thank you so much for replying! I booked it today!! - I thought 'fuck it!' and I did it! It won't be until June 2025 but I'm already celebrating the booking with a big glass of white wine!! I used to travel so much but when I was 42 I got married ( )...not my kind of adventure I realised LOL - at 43 I had my son and since then humdrum life got in the way. But NO MORE! Life is short, enjoy it, see the world, have adventures! Thank you so much for this video and for making me smile and laugh my way into booking it!! I love nature, I love gardens...I just don't like the digging 🍸🍹🥂 I will definitely let you know how it goes and in the meantime, I will look forward to watching more of your humour!!

I paid £550 each for us both for 7 nights, which included flights, twin room and terrace, breakfast, dinner, transfers both ways and two 23kg hold suitcases! WOW!! I am still pinching myself!! I just know I will cry when it's time to leave. Thank you again! You need your own review show by the way!!

It is a great place, I filmed this video last week, and then it really wasn't busy. However, it was before the season started and it will get busier but the place is so big there is enough space so that it doesn't feel crowded. And the gardens are just amazing, as I said i am such a garden nerd ..
Stayed there a few year ago for a week ,great hotel highly recommended
It is a great place, food, facilities, and the surroundings are super, the rooms are very comfortable, however they could do with an update.

Great tour, does anyone know how good the kids club is for a 6year old? My daughter loves to go and make friends but there is very mixed reviews about facilities for kids on TripAdvisor
The first time we went our kids were 3 and 5 and they had a blast, they loved every second of i. Yes they are 19 and 21 now but what I have seen of the entertainment and the kiddy prison, they all seem to have a ball. I definitely recommend the place for families. Hope this helps

If you guys want to chill, sit by the pool and perhaps take a stroll into town (I am going to do a walking video) it is the perfect place. For ne it is the gardens they are just amazing. I was told that when i speak Spanish, I sound like a poor Mexican??? And my tan just underlined that I should live on the streets 🙄.. make of it what you want ..
does it air conditioning yet?
The air conditioning works really well, and are separate, they can all be set on different temperature. Hope this helps
I have vaca envy. What a beautiful place! I also love the gardens and greenery at resorts. Just stunning. And nothing like getting waited on hand and foot. And btw...my SO and I took our last vaca at an adults only resort. Highly recommend it. Shame about the bar hours there. I'd definitely be buying and mixing my own. Hope you're there for at least a couple weeks. Enjoy every minute of it. I'll do a virtual toast to you and Jane. Lucky buggers. 🥂🍻🍷🦀🍤🧁
I am toasting you as we speak.😄, we are were there for 2 weeks (came back on Tuesday) the only vaca we do less than 2 weeks is city breaks. This is our third time at that place, the first time was many many years ago with the kids and we pit them in the kiddy prison every other day and they had a ball as mum and dad did in that time. I am also going to do a walking Mogan video it is such a Smallburgh lovely place and the sunset you can see there is incredible, you can see teneriffa (another island) in the background, so amazing. I was up at 6am every day and walked for about 10km (I am a day drinker ... so I can get up early)... tha adults only idea we are going to try (a long time ago, when my English was questionable) I use to think that "Adults only" reports were sex resorts... disappointing to find out they are not 🤣🤣, but we will try them now that we can. Doing a cleaning up the garden video now after the vaca.
@@jochen.allardice-grein You are too funny. We also have a fav spot in Mexico. It's called Huatulco (Wha-tool-co). Been there 5x's now. I've even started learning Spanish. 30 degrees and sunny everyday. Warm ocean water. Day and night drinking. And you don't even need to get out of the pool to get a drink! You just swim up to the pool bar! 😆 The staff are phenomenal. The only thing I like about Canadian winters are that we always go south for Valentines Day. Glad you're home safe and sound J. You're garden needs you.
