This music speaks to many who don't like calm music like worship by Hillsong. I love Hillsong. I love Christian Rap. You need to calm down, okay? If you don't like this then get over it and don't comment!! They're are bigger things us Christians should be worried about, like missions and interceding for others. I love God!!! Don't be deceived, Did Jesus change up the word for the world so people would follow him? NO he didn't. Why would he speak about false doctrine and false prophets if there are none? KaSonia R There are some things I agree with you on, but first of all, in light of your latest comment, what about the Word did Trip Lee change? He said Jesus is the hero who comes to save us. That creation is groaning (straight quote from Paul's epistle to the Romans), that he was lost in sin and blinded before Jesus saved him. And that we're all in this mess because of Adam's sin. Maybe it would've helped to add the lyrics to the video, to avoid these accusations. But, on your part, put in a little more effort to listen to the words of the song and follow the narrative of the video. At the end of the day, the lyrics adhere to the gospel/New Testament and glorify our sinless Savior. Visually, the video's narrative is about becoming a part of the underground Christian movement and getting persecuted because of it.
That said, and for the things I agree with you on: are you by chance reacting to the Lord of the Rings reference and the scene with the jacket/sunglasses (the latter of which is kinda like, "look at me, I'm so glam and fabulous")? Maybe there was a message behind it, but it was lost on me too. I don't see the relevance behind it except to be cool with the world. So in that I agree.
But it's just plain exaggeration (lies/not reality) to say there's no difference between Trip Lee's video, and something put out by the hypersexual, druggy rappers and R&B artists out there today. Are you trying to insult the guy? or edify him? Be fair. Consider that Trip Lee has done a lot of growing in Christ since 2010 (the year he put out this video). This is the danger in putting things out when you're still new to the faith, or young in general. The worldliness still in you gets recorded permanently and others will come across it years later and judge you for it. May God have mercy and still use those mistakes for his glory.
Seeing that you commented again only 8 months ago, accusing him of changing the Word, as someone who stands up for truth myself, I had to correct you. The truth of the Word has not been altered by the song, lyrical content, nor the video. Though the video has some worldly references (at most two, that I noticed anyway) the message, visually, was of Christ too: becoming a part of the underground Christian movement and getting persecuted because of it. Instead of stoning Trip Lee, wash his feet, point out the dirt to help him clean up.

Don't lose the tender love for your fellow brothers in Christ just because they're still a little worldly. Correct them. Especially online, it's not like he-or anyone else-is going to talk over you and not listen. Your reply is open for all to see. Stay gentle and compassionate.
On that note, and in case brother William ever reads this, this is why I am more of a fan of "lyric videos", so people concentrate on the praise you're giving to God. A picture is worth a thousand words and every second of film has 36 pictures (frames)-that's 36,000 words per second. Better to limit those words to the lyrics so people don't start interpreting things you never meant. Videos are great but you have to think about every single frame, every single object in the frame, and what that could possibly convey to the viewer (especially since this is going under your name). And you somehow have to figure out a way to guide the audience's attention to the story line you're thinking. They won't notice every detail right away. Human attention just doesn't work like that. (I'll have to rewatch this video to get it all). Unless you're going to put great thought into every scene, then lyric videos are your safest bet. That's my advice to Trip to avoid misunderstandings. And for people to be a little more understanding too. "Music Videos" are not the easiest art form either.

I just love this video excellent, excellent!! The Lord is using Trip Lee, and know ones mad but the devil. Had the opportunity to meet him in Orlando, FL recently, I tell ya, he's very humble, real, and so down to earth. The anointing is apparently on his life.
