I love the sound of the Kudyapi. The artist playing here is extremely talented. I very much enjoy his performance, here.
I lived Davao del Sur for five years. I am unable to recall ever having seen or heard them played.
A few minutes ago, I read a post on Facebook from a Luthier who has repaired and restored many of these instruments for native musicians in the region.
Before that I had never even heard of the instrument.
