      Amy what technique do you use to sanitize your Cuisinart blade. I would like to purchase something that I found on Etsy that is used.

    So, I just purchased a used Cuisinart Food Processor & it came with (8) blades. All the ones you mentioned above plus an s-blade. How do I know whether it is a custom 14 model? I sent a product inquiry to Cuisinart to help me determine the model, manufacture year, & to determine if my s-blade falls under a recall they had a few years back.

    Amy, I have set of blades to use with my Cuisinart DLC-10 and purchased them new over 30 yrs ago new for $75.00 new. No regrets and use all but the smallest julienne blade. None of them have gotten dull over time.

      Hey Russ! The blades are really sharp! I was trying to be careful because you can definitely get cut! I am excited that I found the whole set! I hope you had a Happy New Year!

      @@AmyLearnsToCook Happy New Year to you and Eric! I find Cuisinart to still be the most innovative and most practical manufacturer of food processors. I have and use a Robot Coupe for over 40 yrs! It has reached the end of its useful life due to I can no longer find any new workbowls for it! I want the same models as in this video and the same blades you just acquired. I have tried using processors with adjustable slicers and the results are not as good. I am not satisfied with the quality of the dicing kits I have seen and do not appear to be worth the clean up.

    Howdy neighbor! Those bowls look humongous. I hope you enjoy those blades from food processor I think you're going to like those. I love my Breville. Have a great rest of your week I can't wait for you to test everything out.

    Hi Amy, extremely curious if those 9 extra blades worked on your Cuisinart 14. Been eyeing them on eBay. 😂

    • @qchav9187
      @qchav9187 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I purchased them and couldn’t be much happier. They work great. Also Magimix and Breville were my top choices, but after seeing how huge, heavy, and troublesome they would be to pull out of storage and clean three bowls I went with the 14 cup Cuisinart. Sits on my counter with easy access at all times.

    Will the DLC-7 discs fit the current 14-cup processor model DFP-14? Thanks!

    I have a Crockpot version of that slow cooker (it’s white) and it’s fantastic. Best slow cooker I’ve ever had. The capacity may be an issue for a larger family but the bowl is easy to clean, there’s a good distinction between low and high settings. In mine you can set the timer for 20 hours so I usually make stock/bone broth in it on the longer time setting. It’s also great for things like rice pudding because the milk doesn’t boil over on the low setting and you don’t need to continuously stir.

    I remember seeing those blades in Hudson’s! I never bought them but really wanted to.

    • @AmyLearnsToCook
      @AmyLearnsToCook  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really wish they would bring the set back. Buying each blade is really expensive. I can't wait to try them out. I had never heard of Hudson's before...interesting history on those stores. Thanks for watching, Diane!

      @@AmyLearnsToCook JL Hudson's was a wonderful store. My Grandmother worked there for many years - in the downtown Detroit store. They used to have the most beautiful Christmas displays on the 12th floor of the store. They had a floor with all the higher end cookware and dishes, glassware and cutlery. And, linens - beautiful linens. As little girls we all would ohh and ahh over everything and make lists of all the stuff we would, one day, put on our wedding registry, lol. I bet that set of blades is from someone's wedding shower. purchased as a wedding present and never used. I always talked myself out of those blades because I was always being "practical" and saying to myself, will I really ever use them? Plus, as you say, they were expensive. $90 back then would be like... what $300 today? Pretty expensive when (this is my Mom talking "Di, you have a knife", lol. BTW, I still have my original Cuisinart food processor (purchased from Hudson's in the 80's) and it works great. Thanks for the memories!

    I also own a pair of those silicone trivets in gray. Mine do not have a brand name on them. They work great as a landing pad for my air fryer basket.

    Hi Amy & Eric!!! Them were some big bowls. They do look like a serving one. Would of been nice if they were smaller. Nice Processor. I gave my 13 cup KitchenAid one to my Son. I never used it. I bought it for the dicing blade but...gave it away. Really nice CP you got.Never tried a digital one . I do have one down the Base but haven't gotten to it yet...looking forward to see you using this one. Great video my friends!!!...

    Hi Amy and Eric, you will love the Cuisinart 9 blade set. These disks were made for the Cuisinart DLC 7PRO the best food processor made, and the Cuisinart Custom 14 is the same machine base, so many people love their DLC 7PRO hat they will never want a different processor, myself included and with the continued production of the Custom 14 they can keep using the same one even if they have a problem with current processor, now going on 30 plus years old. The differences in the run of these machines have been mostly do the feed tube design changes over time. Enjoy these blades and let us know your results with them.

      Thank you I don't know why it's so hard for me to find a food processor. I literally hate reading reviews so I figured just watch some reviews of random ones. But it's been months of research and I really just I'm tired of it. So I'm just going to drop your word I give up lol

      Hi, I just looked at this Cuisinart and it looks like the blades will fit, remember you will also need the blade shaft, that is removable to switch blades. I do not know for sure about the fit, this is my best guess.@@fiftyoon

    That was a long time ago. Hudson’s was in the Detroit area and suburbs in SE Michigan from the 1950’s until the early 2000’s.

    Omg happy Wednesday! That stuff looks amazing! I still love my Sous Chef processor by Breville. Anyway I have been playing around with my Thermapen One I got for Christmas. That thing is so cool! It is orange. The Emile Henry rectangular baker cracked after the first use. Literallt devastated. I was shocked honey. In tears almost. I am returning it and I think they are going to send me a new one. And my Emile Henry brioche pan has been delayed till February! I don’t think I’ll ever get it. I am so sad and ANGRY that I don’t have my pan by now! It was 50% off an UNREAL price. And I had to pay $9 shipping.

      @@chevyguy6961 50 years ago, seriously? I bought mine about three years ago simply because almost every Chef on YT has one. That is be the best kind of advertising. I certainly don't regret buying it, and yes, it makes pie crust a simple task. Great machine. Cheers!

      @0rangekick Mom bought it around 1975 so 48 years ago. You can still get replacement parts for it if you need them. Cuisinart got it right when they made this food processor.
